My Saona Island Adventure - Amazing mist recommend everything was organized and we got to enjoy our full day at the island and enjoy the natural swimming pool

Breath Taking Waters - Absolutely amazing!! From the guide, the boat captain, the whole staff was incredible. My husband and I had a blast and Saona is gorgeous. Calm shallow waters, $10 delicious piña colada’s aside from the open bar, and good food. Couldn’t ask for a better experience!

A paradise - We went there by catamaran with a very nice entertainment of unlimited meals rums on the beach of Saona. But above all the site is paradisiacal sea turquoise white sand. Maybe a little too crowded. But it is really the right thing to do.

Epic day but beautiful memories - We have selected an "exclusive" day from Punta Cana. Sale at the hotel 380€ for 2 all the same. We left early from our hotel and joined a French-only bus. Our guide spoke very very poor French. His explanations were very confusing. Arrived last at the boat place (overcrowded) we left without explanation on the exact program of the day. The trip went well. The "breakfast" at 11am with drink and fruit was nice though late. It was nice and hot. as we were the last we had to stop away from the beach and away from shops. on reading reviews it was better. To disembark us it was necessary to make us pass in shuttle boats in order to reach the board. On the way back: the least we can say is that it is not very suitable for the elderly. with the waves the movement of the 2 boats barely joined and the balance on a crate it was hazardous even dangerous. Head to the beautiful beach for lunch. Aperitif paying 10€ in a pineapple. Little alcohol but delicious. Buffet starters: correct. Lobsters at the all-you-can-eat barbecue. vegetables and fruit. the rest of the drinks were all-you-can-eat. During the meal we were solicited by masseuses and souvenir sellers, but as everywhere. A photographer offered us a photo report. With my husband we said yes. He took us to take pictures with this wonderful decor, without of course telling us the price clearly. Simply, kindly he made us take poses with gestures trying to highlight ourselves. A real wedding reporter to us the old married for 48 years. Then swimming and walking on the beach. Note that the waterfront is made up of small pieces of shells and coral. At the edge the waves can be strong and can roll you in this sand. One of the participants (not informed by the guide) was the victim. He had to go to the rescue station for proper care. Coral is traitorous. Better to get away from the edge to enjoy the swim. 16:30 departure for the natural pool...Music galore, drinks galore and pool water (up to the waist) very hot. Drink ++++ if you want but it's tempting to go crazy and some do not deprive themselves of it. Then after this beautiful day back home wonderful images in mind and on the appreciative photos. During the journey our photographer showed us his photos on his tablet (erasing the worst ones). And here. Surprise we thought we were stars. The little guy did a good job. 70 bucks and here are 60 photos transferred to my smartphone. No regrets. Thank you young man for these nice memories. Then back to the bus, yes but which!!! Our guide who was drunk like a quince, never knew how to tell us. In the morning it was not cool but in the evening, having drunk all day it was not beautiful. Some travelers were little better but it was not their job. In short I wrote my worst reviews ever written to a travel agency for the organization. However, it remains a good memory of this paradise place

Beautiful island the whole package is wonderful, but the sellers of it are dishonest - An excellent walk, but to all visitors very careful with the sellers of the island, they sell you handles and necklaces saying that they are barking stone, when in fact they are selling you painted glass... it is a shame that in that beautiful place there are dishonest people.

Beautiful Island - But Bad Start - I had booked this trip for the Saturday. Communication had been good and I got my pick up time etc the night before. On Saturday morning I asked for confirmation of transport and was told they were on the way. I waited for over 45mins when I received another message asking if I could go on the trip the following day instead. When I queried why I was told there was a weather warning at Bayahibe so the tip wasn’t on. There were other tour operators who left that morning and the hotel staff told me there was no weather warning. I rescheduled for the following day & pick up was grand. However when I was on the trip the tour guide said there were way more starfish yesterday …. Which meant the trip wasn’t cancelled there was some issue with my pick up. All that aside …. Saona Island is stunning and well worth the visit. Our guides were extremely friendly and helpful. Lunch was provided on the beach - pasta, rice, chicken or fish with fresh fruit and all the rum you want. There were loads of sun beds or hammocks available and the water was warm and crystal clear. It is a long journey with an early start but if you view the journey as part of the trip it’s not too bad. You see parts of the DR you normally wouldn’t.

Beach is beautiful and so is the lagoon but don't get to spend enough time - The trip was too long most of the time is spent travelling and not because the excursion was far away from punta cana. They stop to pick up people which isn't a problem but this could be more efficient then you have to wait in a parking lot to take a mega bus. Then you only really get 2- 2 1/2 hours on the beach. Less time needs to be spent travelling more time at the beach and boat would be nice! Also the stay at the lagoon is only like half hour. The catamaran should go there and spend at least an hour to hang out. Also the prices they want for the pics are kind of ridiculous. They need to be realistic they took 70 pics and to digitally send them to you they want $180 and up USD. As a Canadian that's over $220...

Saona is beautiful but this tour was awful. - Isla Saona is beautiful. I have been there on previous occasions so I was excited to see the clear blue waters again. This tour however was the worst experience I’ve ever had in my life. We were picked up from our hotel. Awesome. But then dropped off in a random parking lot with no information. Weird. We were then met with other groups and eventually got on our bus. We arrived to the port in Bayahibe and waited an hour to finally get on a boat. We were supposed to take a speed boat to the island. There was no speed boat. We then waited another hour on the boat for other groups to arrive. We finally began our journey to the island. We did not stop in the natural pool as the itinerary described. We arrived to the island and thank goodness the water was as crystal clear as I remembered. There was confusion about where we should eat lunch. It appeared there was no table reserved for us. We finally sat and the buffet was made available. There were flies everywhere. Lovely. We spend 3 hours on the island swimming and enjoying complimentary drinks. We were asked to be at our meeting point at 3:45. However. We did not leave the island until 5pm. There appeared to be no available boats. It also was not a catamaran. We returned in a speed boat. We then did stop at the natural pool but it was 530pm. The sun was setting and it was cold. We returned to bayahibe and boarded our bus. I did not make it back to my hotel until 9pm. An excursion that should have been about 10 hours exceeded 14 hours. The tour guide Nicolás was the most unprofessional person I’ve ever encountered. He was rude, sloppy and was drinking throughout most of the day appearing intoxicated. When we tried asking him what was going on he was rude and just encouraged us to drink. Drinking was not an option considering it was a 14 hour day with only 1 meal. If you visit the Dominican Republic you must see Saona island but I highly recommend a private tour to avoid all of this chaos.

We need a refund - We need a refund they cancelled on us and said they would refund us but they r unsure how to do it. I can prove thru our texts.

TERRIBLE. - Trip I never received confirmation of, not made but the money was taken from my card. Attention!!! I will ask for reimbursement
