We learned a lot about the culture - I’m so glad we booked this tour! Our tour guide Pablo was amazing! He educated us on the culture and we learned all about the area and what the land has to offer to the people. We made cigars, learned about the different stages of coffee and learned about the cacao plant.

Happy we ventured out in DR. - We had a great time and each stop had its own unique flavor of the DR. Pablo our guide was very knowledge and always gracious towards us.

Excellent tour of Dominican republic. - Highly recommend this booking, my wife and I were picked up in a van with ice cold a/c. For the price you can not beat it, you get to see a coffee/cocoa plantation, an old style house, basilica, downtown market, cigar shop with great cigars and great prices.

Will (out tour guide) and... - Will (out tour guide) and Kevin (our driver) did an amazing job. The sites we visited were interesting and gave us an opportunity about more of the D.R. Culture. Will has great knowledge of the Dominican and is a lot of fun. Also, a really good tour if you’re visiting DR on a shorter trip, we were picked up at 9a and were back at 1p.

August 2023 - My wife and I went with Pablo yesterday! We had so much fun. We’d highly recommend him as a tour guide. He answered tons of questions, showed us around, and made us feel safe at every stop. We really loved the cigar factory and the cocoa bean stop. Bring enough cash for locals!

Amazing half day culture tour! - I can't for the life of me figure out how this tour doesn't have hundreds of 5 star ratings! Left the resort at 9 with Pablo, who is a gem. He was incredibly kind, helped us learn Spanish all along the way, answered a million questions, and actively sought out things he thought we would like based on our conversation. The cocoa and coffee plantation with the traditional Dominican house was so interesting. We got to see everything up close and really enjoyed our time there. And the fresh mangoes!! He explained about the different towns as we drove through. The next stop was cigar rolling and that was a treat as well. Everyone was so kind and informative. No pressure either. Definitely pay to take the official tour of the beautiful church in Higuey, very beautiful and meaningful. Then Pablo found us some sugar cane to try as we drove through the market, as well as the traditional sweet bean dessert. We didn't care to spend too much time at Macao as our beach at Riu was the best, and Pablo was happy to oblige. I can't hype this tour enough to get a taste of local culture and spend a half day learning new things!

Exploring the Dominican culture - Must do trip if you like to explore the culture and country. Our guide, Joel was friendly and knowledgeable. We started the trip shopping at the local market. Next was a visit to one of the local farm houses experiencing thier daily activities. Visit to the tobacco factory was fun as we got to roll and smoke cigars. The La Basilica church is beautiful. Finally a stop at the Macau beach were you can enjoy some fresh coconut water. Beware of the vendors trying to sell stuff. Overall, a great experience connecting to the local culture.

Great half day tour - What a great time. Pablo was our guide and he was very hospitable and knowledgable. The tour was varied and I felt like I got a good sampler of the culture. Would recommend.

Enjoyable Cultural Tour - Overall, the tour and Pablo were enjoyable however wasn't much conversation in between stops. Not mandatory, however all stops are seeking tourist dollars/purchases/tips. Come prepared. Worth the amount paid.
