If you’re a fan of the great outdoors, you can’t miss this adventure! Nestled on the secluded northeastern shore of the Dominican Republic, Los Haitises National Park is a conservation area established in 1976. It boasts a variety of habitats, housing a rich collection of mammals and birds, including some rare breeds. It was once a refuge for pirates and is host to caves featuring taino pictograms and petroglyphs. The park has evolved into a hot spot for ecotourism nowadays and this guide will provide a taste of what you could experience on a tour departing from Punta Cana.
- This tour develops for a good part of the day through dirt roads, dusty and bumpy so you have to be in good physical conditions.
- Wear comfortable cloths and shoes (preferibly tennis shoes)
- Bring bathing suit, hat, sunglasses, towel, sunscreen, insect repellent, cash for tips and shopping
