Better for adults but children can have fun too - Nicely done. Organisers were very attentive. No-one was left behind. This is ideal for adults, but children can enjoy the day swimming in beautiful waters.

A day on Saona Island - My visit to Isla Saona was an adventure full of contrasts. The place is absolutely beautiful, with crystal clear waters and white sand beaches that make you feel like you are in paradise. However, the intense heat was a constant during my stay, making it essential to bring plenty of sunscreen to protect me from the scorching sun. Although I enjoyed exploring the island and relaxing on the beach, I must admit that the food did not meet my expectations. The options were limited and the quality was not up to par with what I expected. It was a bit disappointing not to be able to enjoy authentic and delicious flavors while I was there. One of the most frustrating parts was the catamaran ride. I was expecting an exciting fun show as we sailed to the island, but instead, they focused on selling products and activities on board. I would have loved to have had a more entertaining and enjoyable experience during the trip. Despite these setbacks, Saona Island's natural beauty and the opportunity to disconnect from the outside world were highlights of my visit. Yes, the heat was intense and the food was not what I expected, but even so, I managed to enjoy memorable moments in this paradisiacal corner. I would definitely recommend bringing plenty of sunscreen and having moderate expectations when it comes to food and entertainment on the catamaran.

Island adventure - The crew of the boat and the tour guide were extremely gracious to us. The island itself was very nice calm clear water. Overall it was an excellent experience.

Island was great - The speedboat was far too crowded and uncomfortable. We expected something else. The bathing lagoon was also very crowded as there were too many boats at the same time. Unfortunately we saw nothing except sand and seagrass while snorkeling. On the island of Saona it was very nice but also very crowded. The food was fine. On the catamaran were the passengers of 3 speedboats. The people who were with us on the tour created a mood. That was funny. Transfers to and from the hotel were very long as we stopped at many hotels to get even more passengers. Perhaps it would be more useful to use more cars to shorten the distance.

Saona Island. - the tour is good, because the place is wonderful, but the food is terrible. An absurd queue to get bad food, they say it's typical, but it doesn't seem like it... There's even a queue to get water... anyway, the journey back is very tiring, we left there at 5 and arrived at the hotel at eight. I wouldn't do it again and don't recommend it.

It was fine - Saona Island is of course beautiful, just like the Blue Lagoon. However, the tour consisted of a lot of waiting, especially when we were waiting for the boat that was supposed to take us to the island. The group was also much too big, so two speedboats always had to take the people to the big boat. Unnecessary waiting time and the boats were much too full. The music on the boats was also much too loud, you had to shout at the bartender so that he could understand what you wanted to drink. The tour guides were very nice and funny.

Waaay too long and loud! - Pick up from Punta Cana 07:25. Drive to Bayahibe took 3 hours due to picking up other tourists (normal max 1,5 hours). Waited on the beach for 1 hour to get on the boat. First stop where we could swim (40 min) was packed with turists and loud music. At Saona beach the place was again packed with people and loud music (2 hours). Sailed back to Bayahibe with Catamaran with music on full blast and they would not turn it down a bit. The catamaran were packed with tourists, no seats for all. We had to go out to the front of the boat to try to escape the loud music (still loud) which were tearing your ears apart also because the speakers were of poor quality so they could not handle the high volume. Finally at Bayahibe, we got on the bus to Punta Cana, and the loud music started again for more than 2 hours until it got dark and people got sleepy. Last hour in the bus were peaceful, but the drive still took 3 hours! So if you would like to be waterboarded with music 3,5 hours straight, long bus drives, and packed tourist spots, then this is just the event for you. The 1 star rating is for the nice guides and that the sun was shinning.

find another excursion! - My family and I booked this excursion through the hotel we were staying at. The representative for this excursion spinned it by saying that we will be speedboating to a natural pool where we could swim for 30 minutes then off to a private island where there would be delicious food and drink. He mentioned that there would be comfortable chairs and even nice beds to lay on. Boy, was that so incorrect. the snacks on the speedboat were fruit skewers with 2 pieces of fruit that would not feed a bird. The pool was a little area with about a dozen other boats there as well dropping off passengers. After 30 minutes we were back on the boat heading for our private island. OMG, it was shared with the Windsong hotel. The buffet was not edible. Two shrimps on a skewer. The pork chops were dry, the chicken was no edible as well. The rice was okay. When I went back for more rice (carb diet), the food was packed up. No salad, fruit, or Caribbean dessert was served as mentioned. They ran out of soda. The beach was packed. The lounges were filthy and there were no comfortable beds in sight. This was very disappointing and being booked through a hotel the price was very expensive. Our mistake, shame on us. I mentioned this to the tour representative. After a couple of emails back and forth, they offered me some money back. They offered me $84. Now, there were 5 adults. I asked me if that was per person. It was not. That's okay. Because we learned a lesson. But, before you book this tour, please get the full facts. We basically spent a lot of money to be away from our beautiful resort (Secrets Cap Cana) to be miserable.
