Good experience - Other than the pickup being more than 30 mins late and lying that the driver was there waiting when no one showed up it was a great experience. Everything ran pretty smooth after

Great Tour! - Very nice Tour! Everything was great! We were picked up from the hotel early and took a speedboat to a sandbar! Then hopped back on for a ride to the beach. After some time on the beach, we got on a catamaran and sailed around the crystal clear waters for a couple hours. It was a great day. Picturesque views and good company. Our guide Carlos a.k.a. Aqua man was a fantastic guide. He made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Punta Cana! One thing I would say that needs improvement is the transfer from speedboat to catamaran. That could’ve been a smoother transition. The speedboats weren’t secured to the catamaran very well so every wave made it tricky to get on the catamaran. Besides that, everything else was perfect!

Beautiful island and good plan - We arrived in Santo Domingo and went by land to Bayahibe where the excursions to Saona Island leave. If you are already in Punta Cana, you should still go to Bayahibe and the trip is more expensive. In general, the island is very beautiful, calm water and warm water, it is worth it

Saona Island in group - We have taken the tour with my wedding group to Saona Island; Also with the friends of Somos Viajes, they punctually provided us with a bus with ample capacity, air conditioning and a guide on board, always taking care of and coordinating with Carles! Expert in destiny! The trip lasts approximately 1.45 to the coast of Bayhibe where you take a speed boat to the natural pools and then to Saona Island, provide for those people with reduced mobility since they are not prepared, the trip and the experience are good, although Due to the influx of people it could represent chaos, before boarding and then on the island itself. The tour provides food on the island, which you must line up and eat right there, enjoying a simple but paradisiacal view. You should make the most of your quality time on the island, since you have approximately 2 hours to then return to the coast. The tour has been liked by everyone and they have always been well taken care of by Carles and his team. I would definitely return to entrust my group to them.

Low cost - The trip is a bit rushed without much time to enjoy the island. We got there at lunch time and had 1h30 to eat and see the place. Free time ends up being in the natural pools of the Blue Lagoon. The transfer is old and very uncomfortable

Beautiful but overexploited place - The place itself is worth a look if you manage to ignore all the organization that is around; a lot of waiting on a parking under the sun necessarily before being picked up (1h15), long crossing by catamaran (60/70 people) with very loud music, the drinks proposed are minimalist (coktail where we look for rum...), no less than 5 photographers who constantly hurry your hand to buy their service sale of scarves in Dominican colors. A stop along the way so that everyone can swim among the starfish (I'm afraid of the impact this can have on their ecosystem). The time to enjoy on the island of saona is very short (barely 2h) just the time to eat (buffet just acceptable) to poke a head (among the very many tourists necessarily) and you have to leave already.... At the sight of the many coral debris on the beach (and garbage like boxes, plastic glasses, shoes...), I was remorseful to have participated in this ecological disaster

The commute was longer than any time spent at the beach. - Not worth it at all imo. Yes. The beach was beautiful but it was filled with rocks, for at least the first 40 feet of the beach. The natural swimming pool should’ve been the main attraction. The ride/journey to get there took up the majority of the time. Our pickup time was at 7 and we didn’t get to Saona until 12 (counting the stop at the natural swimming pool). Maybe about 6-7 hours commute round trip. The speedboat gave me a headache and the catamaran back was in the blazing sun. Absolutely not. The guides themselves are the only reason this has 2/5 stars. They were so great, but this was it for me

Unfortunately mass tourism and worst tour guide ever - We were 3 adults, 2 teenagers and a 4y old child. We booked a tour in English but the guide (Dany boy) was speaking Spanish and just summarizing in English missing important information. I knew it because I speak French. I told him to better translate. He first denied that he was not telling us everything until I gave him some examples. He apologized and then translate only those examples. The tour was mass tourism like I never seen before. The boat and the catamaran were packed with as many people as possible, i.e. 4 persons were sitting on a bench made for 3 in the boat. On the catamaran many people were standing or sitting on the ground. The natural pool is very nice but with many boats and 1000 of people. Where we made the lunch break on Saona Island was crowded, dirty, brocken glas and plastic everywhere. Far away from paradise. The lunch buffet was bad: noodle in tomato sauce, porc that was not well done, etc. A piñata colada for 10 US $. On the way back, the music was very loud and they refused to turn the volume down a bit. I complained on the spot to the organizer since I had a phone number and the answer I got was "If you wanted a quiet activity you should stay at your resort". Some people got drunk (no wonder when they get chip rum served the whole day at their discretion, even in the water) and could not behave. The tour guide did not say anything. I would not recommend this tour and for sure not this company as organizer. My feeling was that they want to make as much money as possible without consideration of the environment and the comfort and safety of the people on the tour.
