Great Experience - Booked this day of and we were nervous after reading reviews from other horseback riding tours. However this tour was exceptional! We got lucky and it was just me and my partner and our amazing tour guide Fausto (sorry if I misspelled). Horses looked well-kempt and they were very well trained. Beach was beautiful and mostly empty. They even let us take pictures on our own phones. Everyone was nice and not as pushy as the other tours we’ve been on.

Horses on the beach - Fun time. We had a wonderful time. The views were spectacular. The guide was a great guy. Lots of fun.

Horseback Sunset - Make sure to bring bug spray. If there are a lot of mosquitoes. The horseback rider guide was very knowledgeable he was very nice and took us on quite a long horseback ride. The only disappointing thing of this trip was that the local shop that tries to sell you things really comes at you strong and if you don't buy something they get rude with you try to make you feel bad that you're not purchasing anything from them. Unfortunately not everyone is made of money and I'm one of those people if I had it I would have bought something but I just don't have it like that

Great couples activity - 10/10 experience. Me and my gf had a great time. We definitely got our moneys worth as they picked us up from the Westin & our tour was much longer than expected.

We had a wonderful time... - We had a wonderful time riding along the beach. The host was very friendly and in good control of the horses.

We were late being picked... - We were late being picked up. Was a nice ride but didn’t get to trot or canter. Great for beginners. Horses are trained to walk too close together and was back before sunset, so it wasn’t a sunset horseback ride.

Wanted to love this excursion, left extremely depressed and concerned for the health of the horses - The ride and the views were great, but I was very disappointed in how the horses were being treated and how horribly thin they were. I’ve been riding horses for over a decade and this was not normal. I understand that feed is more expensive here but these animals need to be properly fed in order to continue to work for you. They are very well trained, kind animals. But if you decide to go, please be prepared to be greeted by horses that look extremely skeletal, lifeless and depressed. I love horses and this was something I really, really looked forward to this vacation and I actually started crying looking at the state of them. I would say 5/10 of the horses were extremely underweight. We ended up requesting that one of our horses, which was in an absolutely NOT rideable state, was switched with another and were told “Dominican horses are different” and then laughed at. They did switch the horses. Maybe they’re different, but this was…. Incredibly sad. We actually wanted to leave but were pretty much pushed off into a crowd with about 10 other people and no option to leave. I would never do this again or recommend it to anyone, it definitely put a huge damper on the trip. ALL YOU NEED TO DO IS FEED YOUR HORSES MORE. THEY WORK SO HARD FOR YOU! The owner will reply to comments and defend that they are fed enough but it is just simply not the case. And everything would be perfect if they were just taken care of.
