Highlights
- Islas Marietas - 1st Stage: Isla Redonda, to enter Playa Escondida. We will swim approx. 80 meters from the boat to the interior of the crater, in the company of our guide and wearing life jackets, to enter through the underwater tunnel and finally arrive at Playa Escondida. If the tide is not high, it is possible to enter the 2 caves that are right there in Playa Escondida.
- Islas Marietas - 2nd stage: Snorkeling in the Calavera Reef area to learn about the marine life that inhabits this marine sanctuary. We will put on our snorkeling equipment and life jackets to carry out the activity in the company of our guide.
- Islas Marietas - 3rd Stage. Visit to Secret Beach. Thanks to a natural phenomenon in the change of sea currents, it will be possible to visit this beach, which remains inaccessible for much of the year. We will swim about 10 meters to enjoy what many consider the most beautiful beach in the bay, framed by extravagant rock formations and truly beautiful arches.
- Islas Marietas - 4th Stage: Second Crater on Isla Larga, called ¨Puente de Piedra¨. We will bring the boat closer until we arrive just below the arch of this impressive crater. It is a place where time seems to stop, ideal for making a wish.
- Islas Marietas - 5th Stage: Bird Watching. Both in our passage through Isla Circular and Isla Larga, inhabit various species of birds, of which the best known is the Blue-footed Booby Bird. We will go around the islands to see the different species of birds and their nesting areas.
- Islas Marietas - 6th Stage: Whale Watching. From December 10 to March 23 it is possible to go whale watching and see the babies with their mothers enjoying this marine sanctuary. This area is the entry and exit point for their migration to our bay.
- Marietas Islands - 7th Stage: Marine Geyser. To the north of Isla Larga is the “Blowhole” La Bufadora. Our boat will prepare to receive a great jet of sea water.
- El Anclote - 7th Stage: Gastronomic Experience - Acapulqueño Shrimp Ceviche: We will prepare, with boiled shrimp, orange juice, oregano, olive oil, avocado, ketchup, tomato, onion and serrano peppers.
If any of the guests have any dietary restrictions, we can prepare various options so that they can enjoy something according to their preferences.
- El Anclote - 9th Stage (optional with a special cost of 30 usd per person): Enjoy a Surf class on the best beach with friendly waves, famous for its small long waves, ideal for learning and catching your wave for the first time.

- Surf Class: For Tour guests, it is possible to coordinate a surf class at the end of the tour at a special price of 30 USD or 450 pesos. Our lunch will be on the best beach to learn.
Additional Information
It is an adventure SAFARI, organized by local people, for small groups of less than 10 people. The service is completely personalized.
We will enter Playa Escondida: We will swim approx. 80 meters (6 to 7 minutes round trip) crossing the Marine tunnel that will take us inside the crater. Snorkeling will be in Calavera Reef, you will meet the only fish that grows its own food. Everyone falls in love with the Blue-footed Booby Bird during bird watching. We will visit the idyllic Secret Beach, which is only accessible a few months of the year due to the change in sea currents. We will visit the second Crater known as “Stone Bridge”. We will witness and get wet with the large jets of water launched by the Marine Geyser. Whale Watching is always a great event. (Optional)For those who want to experience an unforgettable Surf lesson, we have the solution to your desire: Our lunch will be right on the best beach with friendly waves.
- On some occasions it may be possible that the start of the Tour must take approximately 1 hour, this is because the tide level may be high, so in order to swim through the tunnel it is better to wait for the tide to go out. We will always notify you 1 or 2 days before your trip.
- The activity is suitable for children over 10 years old and Adults under 65 years old.

Did NOT disappoint!!! - This is a must do! Our tour guide, Eduardo, met us at AJ’s BBQ restaurant inside the hotel on the beach. We got to visit Marietas Islas, we snorkeled, and hung out on the beach. The water was SO warm. The water inside the cave to hidden beach was neon blue and we saw so many beautiful fish while snorkeling. The crew was amazing. I can’t say enough good things about this tour. To top it all off we finished the day with homemade ceviche on the beach in Punta de Mita. We are satisfied customers.

Exciting day at sea and at the beach - We had an amazing day on the water with Oceanus! We started with a boat tour to Playa Escondida (ie Hidden Beach) where we swam through the small cave to the beautiful beach, then snorkeling, and rounded it out with a lunch of freshly prepared shrimp ceviche and Coronas at the beach! Following lunch our knowledgeable guide, Eduardo, offered to teach us surfing basics. He was so patient when teaching us how to balance while paddling, kneeling, and standing on on the surf board. He was able to get both us novice surfers comfortable in the water and even successfully stand on the board and ride to shore! It was the perfect way to spend half a day while visiting Punta Mita. We were ready to do it again the next day! Thank you Oceanus and Eduardo for planning the perfect ocean adventure for us! Highly recommend this trip to anyone visiting Puerto Vallarta, Punta Mita, Sayulita or the near by areas!

Unique, beautiful, and fun Adventure - If you’re looking for a fun unique boat adventure on your vacation to Mexico this is it. Our group had such a great time exploring hidden beach, snorkeling, and learning to surf. Great crew great time!

Can't wait to go again! - Such an amazing time! They catered to our need and our group of 9. The hidden beach was very neat! We love an adventure. The snorkeling was good; the water wasn't the clearest, but thats irrelevant. They were great at guiding us, making sure we were all together and not worn out. We had some great food, even with a last min change. And then they took so much time to help all of us surf! So patient. So fun! Would love to go back!

Kats Bach goes to hidden beach!!! - 10/10 would recommend! Eduardo went above and beyond to make all 9 of us extremely comfortable !
The team is extremely knowledgeable and prepared to make the trip smooth, several of us were worried about the time limit entering hidden beach and had no problems!
We were able to see very cool snorkeling, a cool photo opportunity on the boat , a delicious shrimp and pasta , and a surfing lesson!!
We were staying in Puerto Vallarta and skeptical about driving 45-60mins for this trip it so glad we read the reviews well worth the drive for this experience!

Amazing personalized experience!! - Highly recommend this tour! We booked a few experiences for our vacation and Eduardo and his team were by far the most prepared and knowledgeable of our guides. We were staying in Puerto Vallarta, and Eduardo helped us find transportation to the meeting point, worked to meet our group's differing fitness levels, and had many, many recommendations on what activities to do next. The locations on this tour are definitely worth seeing! We felt very safe and well taken care of throughout the experience; couldn't be happier.

Best Experience at Isla Marietas and surf lessons - Everything about this personalized excursion was great! Our boat had a max of 10 people so it was great with our party of 8 and 2 more guests. Eduardo was our boat guide and Ismael was our snorkeling guide. They took us to the hidden beach and it was beautiful! They both were very knowledgeable of the location and Ismael even took pictures for us while there! Plenty of time to see this hidden treasure. It’s a short swim from the boat to the hidden beach with a life vest and Ismael guided us the whole way. Then they took us to 2 other spots to snorkel and then to another beach. Once done, Eduardo fed us shrimp ceviche and cold beers, sodas and water on the beach. Jesus then taught the 4 teenage girls to surf! They had an absolute blast! Jesus was patient and got them going fast! I highly recommend Oceanus Lifetime and this excursion!

Wonderful Private Tour With Friends - Absolutely incredible experience! Our private tour to the Marietas Island, specifically the Hidden Beach, was nothing short of magical. Our guide was knowledgeable, friendly, and made sure we had the best possible time exploring the stunning natural beauty of the area. The secluded beach was like something out of a dream - crystal clear waters, soft white sand, and surrounded by dramatic rock formations. This tour is a must-do for anyone looking for a unique and unforgettable adventure. Five stars all the way!

So much fun to be had! - This trip was amazing. We saw and did so many things with great guides. Everyone we encountered was super-knowledgeable, friendly and fun. We really liked that there were so many options. This was great for us (2 friends traveling together), but I could see this being a fabulous option for families with diverse interests/preferences because there’s something for everyone. Great experience, great company!

Good guided day with my husband - The guide on our tour was very friendly. I expected him to know a little bit more about the birds & fish that we saw, kind of like a wildlife guide would know. We loved swimming through the tunnel & he kept encouraging me to use him and his life preserver ring , if I needed to. He served us great food at the end & arranged for us to use surfboards at the beach where we had lunch. That was super nice. In the end he gave us a souvenir to take home. Very nice!
