Join us on a unique and unforgettable journey where you can swim alongside the gentle behemoths of the sea. The experience is closely managed by our skilled guides, and you will be outfitted in our National Geographic Snorkeler-approved gear.
Our adventure commences by picking you up from any hotels in Cancun, Riviera Maya, or Playa del Carmen to transport you to our fresh private marina in Punta Sam in Cancun. We will have a light meal before setting sail towards the Whale Shark preservation area. Once we locate these gentle giants, we will initiate diving expeditions, with each person getting 2 to 3 dives. The dives will be conducted in pairs under the supervision of our accredited guide. But thatâs not all! Before returning to our marina, we will make a stop at the exquisite Playa Norte beach in Isla Mujeres for an hour of relaxation and a delicious ceviche meal prepared by our team!
Finally, weâll return to our Cancun marina where our air-conditioned vans will deliver you back to your place of stay.

Our own private marina is conveniently located in Punta Sam right next to the Isla Mujeres ferry terminal and the Villa del Palmar hotel. Please arrive 30 minutes before the schedule departure time.

Whale shark snorkeling - I joined 4days. Every day whale shark show us different face. It was so fantastic! I recommend guide Mr.Geovanny.Hes really good diver and he can take your video movie n pic very very well compare with other guide!!! Even u cant swim,no problem,he will help u a lot! I think he has good luck. Only the day i join with him, wether n sea condition was best!

Go swim with the whale sharks! - Had the most incredible time! We saw so many whale sharks. The guide told us exactly where to go so we could swim alongside them! Geovanny and Miguel were so great. I canât thank them enough. PS. Rent the wetsuits so much better than the life jacket.

Whale Shark Boat Ride - Geovanny and his crewmate did an amazing job handling the boat, getting us to the whale sharks. Fantastic local-catch ceviche lunch afterwards. Would definitely do it again!

Amazing experience - The swim itself was amazing. Geovanny our guide helped us get close to the whale sharks and take good photos and videos with his gopro. He was very patient with those not so able swimmers on our boat - you need to be able to swim to keep up with the fast moving animals. Miguel, the captain was very skilful at getting us to the right spot for each dive and the boat ride was enjoyable too. We were served delicious fish ceviche and sandwiches and taken to a beautiful beach in Isla Mujeres before heading back.

The gentle giant - I had waited a long year to do it, finally it was done and I managed to see them and swim, the vastness of them is something truly incredible, I would do it once again without a doubt, Javier (guide) and Joseph (captain) are the best, a lot of patience and experience that stands out in them. I hope next year to be in the same boat again đ€żđ©”

Must must must do - Ney I hope you see this review! Ney was an amazing guide and took great care of Everyone. He made sure we were having a good time and gave us food and drinks. Such a cool experience and unforgettable. We saw whale sharks, swam with them, swam outside of isla mujeres, and enjoyed the best ceviche. It was an amazing day

If you are on the fence you must go!!! - At first I was very skeptical about going but decided to just do it. It was the best choice that I decided to go and was an unbelievable experience I will never forget. Isaac and Cindy were hands down the best crew to go out with. Isaac was totally on it and used his amazing boating skills to get us in the thick of it. At one point the Whale Shark swam right underneath us because of Isaacâs angling. Once we jumped into the water to get closer we couldnât have done it without Cindy. Itâs almost like she was secretly communicating with the Whale Sharks because we never lost sight of their pattern with her assistance. It was such a surreal day and I would highly recommend it to anybody who wants to see these amazing creatures up close and personal. The pictures and videos they took of us in the water with the Whale Sharks are an absolute must purchase as well. Thank you again to Cindy and Isaac for making it such an amazing day!!!!!

The Whale sharks are amazing but the Contoy Adventures was not. - The whale sharks were amazing. I would give them a 5 out of 5.
The Contoy tours company was a 1 out of 5.
1- They did not tell us we would not be able to snorkel the whole time with the whale sharks. It was very crowded and at least 15 other snorkeling boats there at the same time.
2- They promised a second snorkel location and we were left at a beach with NO snorkeling to wait for their other boats.
3- They said we did not need a life vest while snorkeling but when we got there they made us pay $30 for 2 very old wetsuits otherwise we had to were a safety vest.
4-When we got back we had to wait 2 hours to leave so all the different boats could see the photos they took. They were not available online and the viewing room was loud, overcrowded and disorganized. Some group's photos and videos were of good quality but ours were not. We had better photos with our phones.
