Day on the water - From the time we checked in until we got off the boat, we had a great time. Shriek was fun and helpful and informative. There were a variety of ages on the boat and everyone had fun. It was not the crazy booze cruise but a day at sea with snorkeling, sailing, swimming and then a visit to Isla Mujeres. The beer and water were cold and plentiful. The crew helped me get off and on the boat every time and I appreciated that.

Photos taken during snorkelling are perfect so I bought the whole package. The price for the tour is well worth it. Regret not giving tips because could not get changes before on board.

The trip was a lot of fun, we went... -
The trip was a lot of fun, we went out to snorkel but the water was to rough so we couldn't go to the underwater museum. The guides were really good, we had a lot of fun with unlimited beverages. The only thing is they keep you in a group and with other boats around it got a little crowded as where my son and I separated from the group.

The snorkling and the waves - The catamaran was clean and the staff was friendly. There was not too many people on the board. They played music all the way very loud! We needed to ask many times to put the music volume down because it was so loud that we couldn't even hear each other talking. There wasn't much to see in the sea while snorkling. There could have been another spot to snorkel too! The buffet lunch was pretty tasty. On the way back there wasn't the spinnaker activity at all (they said it was because of the wheather but you never know...).

Very Disappointing... - We were approached by Miguel on the beach in front of our resort. Having been to Cancun numerous times, we pretty much interrogated him concerning what we would get for our $65. He promised: 9am pick up at the bus stop in front of the hotel, cruise starts at 10am, Open bar the whole time, snorkeling, snorkeling of the Underwater Ruins, lunch on Isla Mujeres, two hours to self-tour the island and parasailing on the return home. After the intense questioning, he lowered our rate to $55/pp and asked for a $25 deposit from each person attending. We took a cell picture of his badge and tour license for proof! He was a few minutes late to the pick up point and we boarded a bus down to the docks. At that time we had to pay an additional fee that we were made aware of the previous day, no problem. After that, he bid us farewell and took off stating that he "was going to be with the afternoon group." I gave him a $10 tip because it APPEARED to go well however, upon seeing that we only had approximately a dozen people signed up for OUR catamaran, the tour owners began conspiring and it was painfully obvious that we were going to get lumped in with another boat... and they did!! Instead of 12 on our catamaran, we were herded in on a boat with 50-60 people, TOO CROWDED. We did not board the new boat until 10:30am (loss of 1/2 hour) and we were informed that we could NOT start drinking until AFTER the snorkeling. Totally understand their intent but yet another fact that was not communicated. We drove a short distance to a reef where 7-8 other boats were parked and we joined what looked like a floating ant farm in the overcrowded waters. Once back on board, we were made aware that we would NOT be snorkeling in the Underwater Ruins and that we would only have 1 hour in Isla... again, facts that were twisted from this operator. Lunch was fair, nothing special but expected. With one hour in Isla, you cannot venture out too far as you're due back rather quickly so we fought for a beer/drink with the countless other visitors until reboarding. Once aboard and headed back to the hotel zone, there was not enough 'wind' for parasailing off of the back boat! It wasn't "parasailing" as one would think, rather "windjammer-style" using a sail and a makeshift 'seat' on the sail... again, very disappointing from what we were sold! The last disappointment occurred when we confronted Miguel the next day on the beach. Upon hearing all of our complaints, he stated that he was unaware of this, wouldn't have agreed to it, etc. They ALL work together day in and day out. At no time did offer a refund of any kind NOR the $10 USD tip that I gave him, shocking?! I will say, the Tour Company (Cancun Tours?) who's catamaran we were shifted to, did a fantastic job of recovering the day for those who signed on with Trimaran Cruise. Once allowed to drink adult beverages, they were plentiful and free-flowing, the crew was a lot of fun, the music was jamming and the main reason we elected to take the cruise was for the absolutely gorgeous water between mainland and the Isla... and they did NOT disappoint.

If body shaming someone who is quite... -
If body shaming someone who is quite fit and and lying to you about taxes on ever turn is your thing, this is the tour for you. Tour was fine, nothing otherworldly but totally undercut by gross unprofessionalism. Suggest you look elsewhere as it's not that hard to find better.

Well... The tour was very expensive... -
Well... The tour was very expensive and for that price quiet mediocore/low quality.....
1. the trip started very late, like over an hour later when we had to be at the meeting point
2. we have had very view time on Isla de Mujeres- 1,5 hours! and nearly everyone was very tired at that time
3. The snorkeling stops were very overfilled tourist places... nothing special at all and we had to hurry a lot, you couldnt see a lot of fishes because the stops were very deep and we were forced to wear swimwests...
4. the guide was very unprofessional as he left a girl crying with panic in the water, my boyfriend got seasick and was vomiting and even wasnt waiting for him and asking if he feels good/better. At the end my sick bf was watching for the little crying girl...
5. Food and Drinks were very! mediocore...
6. we were hurried a lot and pushed to sell us stuff as 1 hour golfcar for 600 pesos :D at the end we were on time on the boat and had to wait for the others who went out with the golfcar
7. at the end the staff was saying that they were working voluntary on the trip no wages and were begging for tips
8. For 75 Dollars?! the transport to that meeting point, which is kind of outside the center/hotel zone could be AT LEAST included

one tip for you guys: I have already been 2 years ago to Isla de Mujeres- but we went by our own by ferry there. At Isla de Mujeres we bought a very good and economic tour for less than 300 pesos which was private, they took us out for private and not overfilled snorkelstops with loads of fishes, the lunch was also very nice... and at the end you could spend as much time on the Island as you wanted....

Disappointing - We booked an all inclusive day trip with a well known tour operator beginning with V. The pick up was on time and it was a 15 minutes drive to port. Having paid £75 we then had to pay $12 tax each in cash, where this goes? Then a lecture about biodegradable only sunblock which they try to sell for $22 a tube, disgraceful. Crew on the boat were fun, drinks were plentiful and it was a big boat with lots of space. Snorkeling took place in rough seas, I couldn't go because they didn't have big enough flippers for me. Looked like you needed to be an olym pic swimmer to keep up with the group and many returned early. The boat stopped for lunch in a beach club in the middle of nowhere for 1.5 hours, buffet lunch was average. They said drinks were included in the ice bar but on arrival you had to pay $10 to get in the bar!! Then on to downtown, for another 1.5 hour stop. Not enough time to do much except look at the shops full of over priced tourist garbage or sit on the sliver of beach with the other 10,000 people. After sailing back we waited 45 minutes for 2 guests who obviously missed the boat followed by 45 minutes in busy traffic, so the journey that took 15 minutes going took 90 minutes coming back. I would suggest going on the public ferry $20 and hiring a golf cart on the island $25 and do your own thing, much better value. We just felt ripped off with the whole deal.
