• Hostel Punta Sam - This adventure begins in the lobby of your hotel, where we pick you up and take you to the marina. There, you’ll enjoy a coffee break and receive important guidelines to ensure the activity is conducted in accordance with species protection regulations. We then set out to find the largest fish in the world, giving you the opportunity to snorkel and swim alongside it while maintaining the recommended distance as advised by our guides. Swims are conducted in pairs (2 participants at a time with a guide), with each person getting 2 to 3 swims lasting 10 minutes each. The adventure continues with a relaxing snorkel around a reef. Afterwards, you’ll be treated to a delicious traditional ceviche before we head back.

Our obligation is towards the safeguarding of this splendid species in our area, ensuring that all activities are driven by sustainability practices that are apt for our visitors, ensuring their safety and imparting knowledge on the preservation of the whale shark, it being a species at risk. Taking into account their vulnerable status, CONANP and SEMARNAT have set rules for these activities and our operations align with their initiatives to help conserve this species.

• Avoid the use of solar projector. It is not allowed even if it is biodegradable, for this it is recommended to wear a long-sleeved shirt to protect yourself from the sun. The boats have roofs to minimize direct contact with the sun.
