Sloths galore - This was a wonderful trip and far exceeded what we expected. We saw lots of sloths, howler monkeys and even a cayman crocodile amongst other wonders. Our guide was simply brilliant

Informative, fun, and definitely worth it - Yara is very knowledgeable about the history, flora, and fauna of this region. She had a very laid back and friendly style that allowed for everyone to feel comfortable asking questions and exploring the beautiful surroundings. Highly Recommend!

Great experience! We... - Great experience! We walked in the jungle around Punta Uva, saw many sloths and some howler monkeys, then kayaked down the river where we saw turtles and a baby caiman, as well as some birds. Jara (apologies if I spell her name wrong) is very knowledgeable about the wildlife and local history. I would highly recommend this activity!

Don’t think, just do it. - This tour was incredible. Yara was so knowledgeable and we learned so much about the nature and history of the Caribbean during our hike. This tour left us with a new appreciation for the wildlife and the people of the Caribbean. The kayaking tour SO COOL, we saw howler monkeys, mating yellow rat snakes, lots of turtles, a baby sloth, an iguana, and many more amazing creatures. Do this tour.

Amazing afternoon in the jungle. - Yara was fantastic, very informative and fun. We saw lots of animals and got a real insight into the area. I would recommend this tour to everyone, we definitely got our moneys worth, it felt like a private tour.

Incredible tour despite stormy conditions! - Yara is an excellent tour guys and our whole group of 7 had a great time. Our age range was wide from my parents to my three kids ages 10, 8 and 5 and Yara knows how to make it an enjoyable experience for all. We had some rain during our tour, which only made it all the more memorable. Yara was extremely communicative and knowledgeable. We would highly recommend this tour!

This was the highlight of... - This was the highlight of our time in Puerto Viejo!! Yara was AMAZING - it was our first time in Costa Rica and we do not speak Spanish so her welcoming attitude and superb English and humor were perfect introductions to the pura vida lifestyle! On our “hike” we saw a boa constrictor we never would have noticed without her. One thing to note is there are two spots that are pretty steep on the hike so be prepared to lunge up. The kayak down the canal was so relaxing and a wonderful next half of the experience. I saw so much and learned so much, filling up 3 pages of my journal after with all the facts we learned about Costa Rican history, sloths, cacao and other flora and fauna, even indigenous tribes and Afro-Caribbean cultures. I especially appreciated how she fielded questions from the people on the tour- you can tell she isn’t just reciting facts but truly knows and cares a lot about the area and culture. The next day we went to Cahuita National Park and didn’t need to hire a guide because we overheard them telling visitors the exact same facts (but with less detail and ~flair~ as Yara). At the end of the experience, she brought out coconuts and machete-ed them open for us to toast and drink for an amazing day. She was wonderful! Can’t believe I booked this 12 hours prior on a whim and cannot recommend this enough.
