Kayak and sloth watching - All the staff were friendly . Good communication beforehand and we found location to start on beach easily . Our guide Alex was fantastic. Showing us animals , birds and reptiles we would not have spotted by ourselves ( being patient and giving us extra time as I have poor sight ) . Would definitely recommend.

A nice tour to get started if you haven't seen much before - A really nice tour for families. Our guide took a lot of time and explained everything about flora and fauna in detail. After the tour there were coconuts for refreshment before optionally following a trail to the viewpoint by the sea.

Kayak Tour - Alex was extremely knowledgeable on the animals, local area, History and culture. He was great. We really enjoyed the tour! Saw loads of animals. The mangroves were so peaceful. The group size was also smaller than most other groups we saw.

Perfect!! - Really perfect! We took a short walk in the jungle to beautiful viewpoints. This guide was really great, it has really interesting knowledge about the history of the city, animals, plants, trees, insects. He also spotted at least 6 or 7 sloths just on the beach and its surroundings. The canoe tour also went great. It was very nice I highly recommend!

Abundant Wildlife in a Beautiful Relaxed Environment - We had a wonderful time on our tour! It was a relaxed experience that started with a short hike and finished with a nice kayak down the river. We saw iguanas, butterflies, and a baby sloth on the walk, learned about some of the native trees and plants that add to the ecosystem, and ended up at a beautiful lookout point. On our kayak trip, we saw more sloths, a family of traveling howler monkeys, spider monkeys, lots of turtles, and a few toucans! Francisco was a great guide and answered our many and varied questions. We ended our trip with delicious fresh coconut, and Francisco gave us a great recommendation for lunch afterward.

Flora and fauna, as well as the great atmosphere on the river can not be described in words. Francisco is a very competent, warm, enthusiastic guide. 1000 thanks for your commitment, and to create a special experience

Terrific experience - My husband and I had a terrific Kayak and Sloth Watching Tour with Alex this week. Alex was a fantastic guide. We easily found the meet-up spot at Punta Uva Beach, and Alex had ready his kayak and a 2-person kayak for us. We paddled up the river slowly so that we would not miss the many animals. Alex spotted numerous sloths, Howler monkeys and Spider monkeys, and many different lizards and iguanas. He also identified tree and plant types. We would have missed most of the sitings on our own, because we were not skilled at knowing all the different tree nooks and other spots where different animals hang out. It was a treat to learn from Alex, and meanwhile we had great conversation about the history and ecology of the area. We also did a hike after the paddle and saw more sloths, other animlals, different tree types, as well as out of the way views. I highly recommend going on the Kayak and Sloth Watching Tour with Alex. He was a kind and gracious guide. The tour was a highlight of our trip!

Get a better guide or rent the kayaks yourself - My rec: get a better guide or rent kayaks and go yourself. Pros: kayaking is fun, beautiful scenery, lots of wildlife Cons: everything else Guide Alex was a no-show for our 9am tour, then made up an excuse about someone else being sick a full hour later at 10am. Luckily we could reschedule, but other folks couldn’t. The tour itself was lackluster. He would point out animals but provide no further information, and didn’t seem to know much more than species’ names. Lots of time was spent in silence. We could overhear a different tour group ahead of us, whose guide was much more knowledgeable and engaging. In my opinion, you’re better off researching the wildlife beforehand on your own, or getting a different guide.
