Absolute best way to start your Puerto Viejo vacation - My wife, son, and I did this trip with Alex just yesterday. It was our first full day in Costa Rica/Puerto Viejo and we could not have started our trip off in a better way. Before we even got into our kayaks Alex had pointed out a young sloth foraging the trees right next to the beach; and that was just the beginning. Alex is very friendly, patient, and knowledgeable - not to mention that he can spot animals a mile away! We saw sloths, monkeys, turtles, iguanas, spiders, birds, a juvenile caiman, and more. But not only does Alex point these wild animals out, he also knows a lot about the flora and fauna and takes the time to teach about this beautiful and ecologically diverse place on our planet. After the end of our tour Alex took the top off of some coconuts, handed us some straws, and we enjoyed fresh and delicious coconut water right there on the beach. This was a fantastic tour for people of all ages and abilities. So glad we found this and wouldn't hesitate to do it again. Loved the whole thing. Thank you, Alex!

Totally worth to try! - We had a fantastic time with Alex’s guided tour. We saw a lot of sloths and other wild animals, which we wouldn’t have been able to spot without his eagle-like eyes and his constant efforts in searching for animals. Before this tour, we tried to find sloths in other parks by ourselves, but it was impossible as you know sloths are experts in camouflage. Ah, the sloths we saw with Alex were incredibly beautiful and cute. I also enjoyed peaceful kayaking in nature. Alex offered us not only his knowledge in the ecosystem but also overall Costa Rican cultures we were curious about. We also enjoyed the refreshing coconut water he offered. I strongly recommend Alex’s guided tour for meaningful sloth watching, as it was the best way for us to spot sloths in dynamic ways of kayaking and walking in Cost Rica. Honestly, money well spent! Thank you Alex! Pura vida.

Recommended! - Fantastic tour around Punta Uva. Alex sent us clear instructions about the meeting point the day before. We started off with kayaking on the river which was magical - saw plenty of monkeys, iguanas, sloths, turtles, tucans… We then had a walk around Punta Uva which offered beautiful views of the area.
