- Playa Punta Uva - We Will Start with a short hike where we Will take you to find sloths and many other animals in their natural hábitat , we will learn about them while we walk through the beautiful trails and scenery of the different viewpoints of punta uva.
You will hear stories about shipwrecks and real pirates of the caribbean mixed with the history of puerto viejo and Costa Rica in general.
After the hike we go back the meeting point for a small break and snack to cool down and relax a bit, then we will take the kayaks and head to the magical waters of the river where we will also see sloths but other amazing kind of wildlife too such as monkeys, iguanas, caiman, agoutis, etc…

You will experience a day in the life of a local from beginning to end, walking the jungle trails and kayaking a magical river full of wildlife and stories about real pirates and indigenous wisdom.
We will embark on a learning and narrative journey through one of the most beautiful beaches in the world, all while looking for sloths in their natural habitat, learning about them and all the amazing wildlife mixed with the puerto viejo vibe style, history, traditions of Costa Rica and much more.

Entertaining excursion with Alex - An adventurous day with our tour guide Alex. We can recommend the tour to anyone.
We started with an easy hike. Here we could see some different animals. Then we went kayaking through a beautiful jungle river. Nature is unpredictable, but Alex does his best to find as many animals as possible.
At the end of the tour, we were even able to see a sloth up close.

All around perfect tour! - After not seeing a single sloth the whole holiday, we saw 9 on the tour thanks to Alec! Alec was a great guide, he was super relaxed and knew a lot about the animals and their environment. We can recommend it to everyone and had a great day! ☺️

Kayaking and lots of animals! - Great kayak trip! We were with our two young daughters. One adult and one child per kayak. We saw sloths, iguanas, lots of turtles and monkeys 🇨🇷! Alex was a great guide, he sent us the photos he took of our family. We were even treated to fresh coconut tasting at the end.
The quality of the boats was a little outdated but it was ok.

Great tour - Great walk and subsequent kayak tour in the jungle. The highlight was a perezoso with bebé. We also saw parrots, herons, monkeys, turtles and red frogs.

Sloth Kayak and Hike tour - This tour was so much nicer than I expected. We had a great hike and Ale the tourguide spotted all the animals for us, we wouldn’t have found them on our own. We saw many exotic birds, sloths and monkeys. The kayak tour in the jungle was a very special experience.

Excellent tour - Our Tour Guide Alex was wonderful at spotting and pointing out wildlife. He spoke English well and provided us with a bit of history about the area as well as showing us a beautiful bit of Costa Rica. We saw 10 different species of bird, animals, insects, frogs and he recommended a restaurant a short walk away that was wonderful with authentic Costa Rican food.

Enjoyable, leisurely tour with knowledgeable guide! - The three of us really enjoyed our tour. We saw lots of monkeys, sloths, turtles, toucans and even a few iguanas. It began with an easy stroll where Eric pointed out various sloths and even knew which ones had little babies that we could see if we looked closely. We saw, and heard, so many monkeys on our kayak tour, which was a very easy and leisurely paddle. We would recommend him!

Amazing Sloth & Kayaking Tour! - Alex did a wonderful job on this tour! Not only is he an amazing animal spotter, he is very knowledgeable about Costa Rica and its plants and animals. He kept our kids engaged as well as the adults.
