Great options for the whole family - We really loved the tour of the park. We did the hanging bridges, sloth sancuary, and butterfly garden and it was perfect for our family of different ages and interests. Would highly recommend!

For Best Experience Use A Guide - We visited the bridges as part of a Gate 1 Tour. We highly recommend you use a guide, since it is very difficult to spot birds or animals on your own. Even at that, we only saw a small handful of birds, mostly through a scope. The draw here is the cloud tree canopy itself. We were there early enough to see the wisps of fog in some spots. It was surreal. From what we were told, with the climbing temperatures, these cloud forests and its inhabitants could be gone in another 50 years. So, being able to experience it felt very special. While fauna wasn’t easy to spot, the greenery of the forest was bursting with variety and wonder. You truly felt one with nature. The bridges themselves were an easy walk and felt very safe with high side railings. The paths in between the bridges are described as “mostly flat.” That isn’t exactly true. I had no problem with the ups and downs of the meandering path, but my husband, who is older had a harder time. I recommend you take a walking stick as we did for some extra support. The paths were mostly dry, but some parts were wet and slippery. There are 8 bridges in a 2 mile loop, so once you start you either have to continue to the end, or backtrack the way you came. It took us about 2 hours to complete. There are only a few benches along the way to rest. Again, its a good idea to keep your fitness level in mind when tackling this excursion. The temps were comfortably cool when we were there, walking in the dappled shade. Other reviewers complained about the zipline noise. Honestly it was brief and was hardly noticed. We thought the Selvatura Bridges were definitely worth experiencing. Again, don’t expect to see much wildlife here, its all about the canopy. As long as you know what is expected, we think you will be pleased visiting this incredible wonder of nature.

Pleasant but not Thrilling - This hike is not too difficult. The bridges are pretty solid. There were some interesting views. There was not much wildlife. We saw a hummingbird and a coati. Compared with our other hikes this was a bit disappointing. Nice way to spend an hour or two.

Nice but nothing more - The views from the bridges are nice, but nothing else- I find it very expensive for the activity. We also went to the sloth habitat and I felt very sorry- if you are animal lovers I do not recommend you go, a horde of tourists come in all very noisy and get very close to the sloths who are there to take pictures. Besides the habitat is small considering the amount there is. Feels little respect for animals, they are clearly being exploited to make $$

Self guided tour - We ended up going without a guide as we arrived later in the day due to our travel arrangements. We were warned in advance that we'd be unlikely to see a lot of wild life in the middle of the afternoon which held true. It was still a really cool experience and surreal to be up so high in the canopy. A truly unique experience! Totally got Fern Gulley vibes. It was an easy stroll and the path is very obvious so no worries about getting lost. We were there in February so not too hot. There were also not a ton of other people on the trail which was nice. We did add on the sloth sanctuary and butterfly habitat which were definitely worth it. Highly recommend but if you want to see wildlife in the actual wild make sure you book an early morning slot!

Expensive for a rainy day - I'm leaving disappointed. The place and the bridges do not give rise to any complaints, but that they charge a lot the same on a sunny day as on a rainy day (when those who know the habits of the fauna, know that you will not see any animals) does not seem right to me. The price of the walk is fine if it is a sunny day and you contemplate fauna, but I find it expensive if it is rainy and you do not have that option.

Ridiculously overpriced - not worth the money - After having been to several other spots in Costa Rica with Hanging Bridges, we were excited what we are going to get for approximately 180 USD for two adults and two children. Though the bridges have been longer than what we have seen somewhere else in private or not private areas where you can use them for free, we didn't get any benefit...... the walk doesn't even take one hour and then it's done.... don't expect to see significant wildlife. We have not been thrilled...... for 10 USD per person, it would be fine but we were really grumpy after having paid so much for this experience...... Calculating how many people walk there every day and estimating the maintenance costs, it´s a real cash cow for the owners. If you are on a quick rush through Costa Rica and don't care about the value for money, you can come here if you are keen on hanging bridges (don't expect too much from the nature wise experience though!!!)...... if you are a more individual tourist, avoiding mass tourism attractions and more into rough nature things, go somewhere else....... (El Tigre Waterfall f. e.).

Polite and disrespectful worker - Very nice activity of the suspension bridges. However we agreed with an employee named Dylan who was today, July 31 at the door of the reptile exhibit who told us that we could no longer stay in the enclosure with 3 hours left to close and at the entrance we had been told unlimited time. Plus he disrespected us and treated us badly. He didn't do his job right and he's not prepared to face the public.

Stay away from this place! Terrible staff and service! - We came with a party of 4 to enjoy the canopy and butterflies on my birthday. The staff told us to wait 10 minutes for the next group but after almost an hour waiting it got ridiculous. We saw many tours leave but they kept skipping our party even though we told them we didn’t mind an English or Spanish tour guide. The only difference being that we were not Americans. I’m not one to write this type of reviews but it really started to feel like a race thing. The couple times we told the lady if a tour guide was coming soon she replied angrily, like it was bothersome. Lastly when the hour mark was near we headed inside and asked them politely what was going on the lady told us very rudely that we could have our money back if we didn’t want to wait and that the guides headed out for lunch. If we had been told that from the beginning we would have donde it self guided no problem, the terrible attitude from the lady and the dude at the reception was very off putting. We did the bridges which were nice but the rain was pouring full time and when we headed to the butterfly garden the dude at the door told us it was locked and to go find someone that had a key (wtf). We ended up asking for our money back. You may be better off at treetops next door or at 100% aventura to be honest.

Expensive - We were quite disappointed by the hanging bridges at Selvatura Park and felt like we'd been ripped off. I wouldn't recommend doing this activity as we didn't seen much and spent a fortune!
