Wonderful Exhibit of Amphibians and Reptiles - Excellent selection of local reptiles and amphibians with a knowledgeable guide. The facility and animals were well kept.

Excellent tour of the cable car and hanging bridges. - Well, what can I say, the place is extremely beautiful, full of tranquility. Their well-planned tours at a fairly fair price, worth repeating.

Snakes and Amphibians - The room was very dim they didn't have the enclosure lighting on during the tour. Learned a few facts about the many snakes and amphibians of Costa Rica. There was only one lizard to be seen to the dismay of my 7 year old who was looking forward to seeing different reptiles aside from snakes. Guide was good.

Just about average - The tour was about 30-35 minutes and a guide takes you through a room (Herpetarium) which has a bunch of snakes and a few frogs of Costa Rica. The reason I took my 5 year old to this tour was for her to see all the reptiles and amphibians of Costa Rica, since there is no guarantee who can see them in the wild in one of the night tours or walks. We could check the box that she was able to see all of them, but the guide was not very engaging and could have done a better job at explaining things. He made all the snakes and frogs sound so scary and talked about how poisonous and deadly they are and how many people and kids they can kill. Not fun for a 5 year old to hear. It wasn’t like our group was big and he was catering to the other crowd. It was just 4 of us and he could have done a better job at making it fun and more kid friendly. I think the tour was quite overpriced for what it is.

Worst tour, rushed through and could barely see animals, big disappointment! - This was a major disappointment! First the road there was in horrible condition, suggest having 4 wheel drive and not carrying about your kidneys bouncing around. I was the only person on the tour which was fine but I felt like they were trying to rush me through everything to be and to leave. It was sold as a ~2hr tour but it was over in 30 mins and that includes spending a few minutes looking at the gift store items. Just as I was selecting items to purchase, I was told the gift shop was closed. It would have been nice to know that before I spent time looking at things. The actual room with the snakes and frogs was the major disappointment. The terrariums they were kept in had so much unnecessary art drawn on the outside that you could barely see through it to see the animals. When I tried to take pictures it was almost impossible to find a part of the glass that was clear to take the photo from. This coupled with the guide rushing through everything made this the worst tour of my trip so far. I would not recommend this tour to anyone. Save your money!
