Excellent! - Excellent captain and tour! Beautiful view of the island. Fresh fruit (pineapple and watermelon) was delicious. Nice demonstration of the bioluminescence

Great experience - We had a great day in the reserve seeing the animals. We took advantage of an almost deserted beach. At 5 p.m. we boarded the boat with life jackets towards Tortuga Island. This part is the least fun. The beach is beautiful but you feel it's a party spot. With trash on the ground. The sunset is not sunset but we can see some nice things. Once night fell we headed out to sea to swim with the plankton. It was magical. The kids loved it and so did we.

Blech. No thanks. - I was not impressed. The crew and guide only spoke Spanish so we had no idea what was happening the entire trip. The tour says it would be in English & Spanish. Tortuga Island should be called “Trash Island”. There was garbage and left over remnants of people drinking adult beverages everywhere. It also smelled like a frat party. We were really not clear at all what we supposed to be doing and the guide just kept saying 10 mins. There is no sunset to see as the beach does not face the sunset. The boat Capt. went and parked next to his friend out in the water and only came back in the last minute before leaving. Most of the guests did not have life jackets and they were handing them out as were moving. I got hit in the eye with the strap as they were being handed it out. They also handed out snorkeling gear at the same time. Mine was missing the mouthpiece. All of this was in the dark on a moving boat. We got to the location and he gave the directions in Spanish so we had no idea what to do. The bioluminescence was underwhelming. You could hardly see it. The stars were quite beautiful and the only highlight. They were hard to see because of the tarp on the boat but if you craned your neck it was quite spectacular. Sad to say this was def. not worth the cost. It was not at all what I had expected. It’s a waste of money.
