Best surfing lessons!! - Alvaro and Chimichurri (Brian) are the BEST! Alvaro explained the beach, the currents, the rocks, etc so we felt very safe surfing. They are both amazing coaches and taught us how to stand up and ride the waves very quickly. Will definitely surf with them next time! 100% recommend.

Best Surf Instructor - Alvaro is the BEST. I had only taken a couple of surf lessons in the past year and when we met it was my fourth time in total doing. To say I was a beginner was the understatement of the year. He is extremely knowledgeable, encouraging, and patient. I spent 7 days in total with him. First day we started in whitewater with basics and was standing and riding easily by the end of the first lesson. Each day we progressed to a new level of difficulty and I saw tremendous progress from one day to the next. By day 4, we were in the lineup and catching bigger waves and I was able to turn on the,. By day 7. I was able to ride really long waves and had a lot of confidence in everything I was doing. One of the key factors that comes with an instructor is the ability to trust them completely. Alvaro earned this from the first moment. In addition to being a fabulous instructor, he is a really great guy. If you are just starting your journey like I was or looking to grow your surf game, Alvaro is your guy!!! I will be back to surf with him, no questions asked.

amazing surf lessons - We were in Costa Rica for only 5 days and still were able to improve so much through these surf lessons. Alvaro was an amazing surf instructor and was able to provide feedback after every wave to help us continue to improve. We learned not only about pop ups but also about conditions and how to stay safe and how to pick the perfect wave. We had so much fun and loved surfing even more after this experience!!

Amazing Instructor!! Book this experience!! - I had the most amazing experience with Alvaro! He was an awesome instructor and gave great tips to improve my surfing. As a beginner I was nervous and Alvaro made me feel so confident in the waves. He knew how to give me enough steps to improve and feel challenged, but never overwhelmed. Highly recommend taking surflessons here - no matter which level!!! - I highly recommend taking surf lessons with Alvaro and Saltwater Surfing! I took lessons with Alvaro and had never had such a good instructor before. Through all his tips and instructions I was able to improve a lot and felt so much more comfortable in the water. He really notices every detail and helped me so much to work on some bad habits. With his help I could progress from the whitewater to catching my own waves in the lineup, and learned a lot about how to read the waves and how to position myself.
