Throughout the hiking journey, participants will have the chance to escape the bustling crowds, discover hidden spots, and admire the unique treasures of the volcanic landscape.

They will wander through the narrow streets of the traditional villages of Pyrgos and Megalochori, while a guide shares their rich history. Visitors will explore the remnants of the Medieval Kastelli of Pyrgos and enjoy stunning views of the island from various perspectives. In Megalochori village, there will be a pause for coffee, traditional sweets, and water.

The hike will continue along the caldera’s edge, following the wine trails of Megalochori, where participants will learn about the history of wine production. They will be captivated by the breathtaking scenery from the so-called “eye” or “heart” of Santorini.

The trail will lead to the volcanic dunes on the black sands of Eros Beach, offering an opportunity for a refreshing sea shower.

The final stop will be the picturesque Vlychada Bay, where a delightful lunch by the sea awaits at a traditional Greek taverna.
