The monastery stands as a silent guardian over the island, offering a moment of reflection amidst the breathtaking scenery. A review from July 2024 captures the essence of this experience:
Amazing Experience! - Where can I even begin? Theodore, our guide, was the history right up to current times. Even an idea about buried treasure from the pirate Barbarossa on an island across the water. So exciting! I feel like I need to come back and look for a treasure map. The wine tasting was amazing and we are taking a little bit of Santorini home with us. We have memorable photos of the caldera and the sunset at the lighthouse. I would do it all over again in a heartbeat! (Reviewed at: 2024-12-21)

A stroll along Kamari Beach, with its dramatic black sands, provides a unique perspective of Santorini’s rugged coastline. The tour concludes in Megalochori, a village that seems frozen in time, with its narrow alleys and vibrant architecture.
A review from April 2024 highlights the tour’s charm:
Great tour of Santorini if you have limited time - We just finished our tour and it was fabulous! We only have 1 day in Santorini and wanted an overview of the island. We had booked with someone else who canceled 3 days before our tour. Our hotel graciously set this up last minute. Our tour guide was Elena and the driver was George. George navigated the tiny roads expertly and we felt we were in safe hands! Elena was very knowledgeable about history and culture. We went to the town of Oia and walked the streets with panoramic views. Then we went to the wine museum, to the top of the mountain monastery, black beach, and finished by walking Meglochori. This was a private tour and one of the best things about it is they know how to avoid the crowds and tourists. I would book this again in a heartbeat! Especially if you don’t have much time on the island. (Reviewed at: 2024-04-28)
