Ferry from Pythagoreio to Kusadasi - Ferry from Pythagoreio to Samos was very easy and it took 2 hours or little more. You could sit outside whole journey and that was good experience. For me and my wife that was must happend expierience. Kusadasi anf Ephesus, go for it.

Great experience but it takes a long time - The ferry was a wonderful experience but it is not for those that might experience motion sickness. There were quite a few people who got sick. It does take about about 2 hours to cross and there is a tax.

Kusadasi Port tax - Caught our ferry from Pythagoreio, Samos to Kusadasi. Small ferry that was quite full. Enjoyable journey but taken by suprise when stopped at the port by a man charging €12 port tax. He made a handsome profit as it was cash only
Is this legal because I can't find any details online
