Itinerary
This is a typical itinerary for this product
From your starting point at Qafe Perdolec, you will hike in the morning with your guide(s) to the summer encampment of your host family for the day.
Once you have arrived to the shepherds’ summer encampment, you will have the opportunity to take part in their daily activities. In the morning this will include milking the sheep, followed by joining the family members as they take their livestock out to graze in the nearby high pastures up towards Maja e Mridzit.
Duration: 4 hours
Once you have returned with the sheep, you can relax and enjoy home life inside their home, known as a “Stan”. There you will have the chance to learn how the shepherds prepare milk, cheese and other local dishes which you will later be able to enjoy during your late-afternoon meal with the family.
Duration: 3 hours
After your meal, you will have the opportunity to relax how you please for some time. Your guide(s) can take you on a short guided walk/hike of the nearby surroundings of your summer encampment, or you can opt to relax at home and take in the peaceful atmosphere.
Duration: 2 hours
After having had some time to rest, you will say goodbye to your host family for the day and your guides will escort you back to your starting point at Qafe Perdolec before dark.
