Poor start, poor journey, poor guide, poor organisation - Having booked the trip through trip advisor, we were expecting a level of professionalism. Our transport (a delapidated and dirty transit van) was 30mins late for the pick-up (we were the first pick-up). The driver had no english and the limited communication was through his wife(?). We proceeded to pick up others en-route (totalling six) and driven to a road side lay by - we eventually deciphered that we had missed the coach, however after a 15 min wait we were collected. The new transport was bigger, but no better than the first - we took the last seats at the back of the bus and were dripped on, by the defective air-conditioning, throughtout the trip to the Festa. Upon arrival the tour guide was surprised to hear that we needed a toilet (we had been "travelling" for over 2 hours). Once we had located a toilet (costing 2 euros each), the whole group left the guide and went our separate ways to find food and drink. - I don't think our guide Robert was prepared for this!! However we all agreed to meet at 10:15 in front of the church as Robert suggested for the return journey. Having two hours in the village was wonderful, what a spectacle -like being invited to a massive wedding reception on New Years Eve, in the middle of the streets - EXCELLENT. However the prescibed meeting place - in front of the church at 10:15 was almost certainly the worst place in the village to get to - the procession into the church began a 10;00 and geting to the meeting area was impossible. We all eventually left the village a 11:00. The one good thing that the operator can be proud of was to arrange the first "Transit" to collect us from the village and take the direct route back - which only took 30mins. I would recommend everone who visits Malta to attend a Festa - BUT DO NOT BOOK THIS EXPERIENCE
