A Serene Morning on the Waters

As the first light of dawn began to paint the sky with hues of pink and gold, I found myself eagerly anticipating the adventure that lay ahead. The gentle hum of the boat engine was a comforting reminder of the many train journeys I had taken across Europe, where the rhythmic clatter of wheels on tracks would lull me into a state of peaceful reflection. This time, however, I was not on a train, but on a small speedboat, ready to explore the enchanting caves of Comino and the famed Blue Lagoon.

Our host, a charming and knowledgeable guide, greeted us with a warm smile and a wealth of options for our journey. Taking his advice, we opted for an early morning tour, setting off at 8 am to ensure we experienced the beauty of Comino before the throngs of tourists descended upon its shores. As we glided across the water, the world seemed to slow down, allowing me to savor each moment, much like the leisurely train rides I so adore.

The Enchanting Caves of Comino

The boat ride to the Santa Maria Caves was nothing short of magical. The sea, a deep azure, mirrored the sky above, creating a seamless horizon that stretched into infinity. As we approached the caves, the boat slowed, and we were enveloped by the cool shadows of the rocky formations. As the clock struck 10 am, the lagoon began to fill with visitors, a stark contrast to the peaceful solitude we had enjoyed earlier.
