Embark on a once-in-a-lifetime journey to explore the ancient wonders of Egypt with our Day Tour to Giza Pyramids. Ride a camel across golden sands and visit the Egyptian Museum for a captivating adventure.
- Giza Plateau - At 8:00 am, you’ll be picked up from your Cairo hotel by our expert tour guide. You’ll then be transferred to the Giza pyramids in a private, air-conditioned vehicle. Your full-day tour begins with a visit to the famous Giza Pyramids, where you’ll see the Great Pyramid of King Cheops. Enjoy a 20-minute camel ride to immerse yourself in history. Our guide will then take you to a panoramic spot where you can view all the pyramids at once. Next, you’ll visit the Valley Temple, also known as the Mummification Temple, where King Chephren’s body was mummified. This is also where you’ll get a closer look at the Sphinx.
- Great Pyramid of Cheops (Khufu) - Khufu’s pyramid complex includes a valley temple, now buried beneath the village of Nazlet el-Samman. Diabase paving and nummulitic limestone walls have been discovered, but the site remains unexcavated. The valley temple was connected to a causeway, which was largely destroyed during the village’s construction.
- Khafre’s Pyramid - Khafre’s pyramid complex features a valley temple, the Sphinx temple, a causeway, a mortuary temple, and the king’s pyramid. Several statues of Khafre were found in the valley temple, some discovered in a well by Mariette in 1860 and others during later excavations by Sieglin (1909–10), Junker, and Reisner.
- Menkaure Pyramid - Menkaure’s pyramid complex includes a valley temple, a causeway, a mortuary temple, and the king’s pyramid. The valley temple once housed several statues of Menkaure. During the 5th Dynasty, a smaller ante-temple was added to the valley temple. The mortuary temple also yielded several statues of Menkaure.
- Great Sphinx - Next, visit the Sphinx statue. Our guide will help you take memorable photos, choosing the best locations for your shots.
Lunch is included at a local restaurant, but beverages are not included.
- The Museum of Egyptian Antiquities - After visiting the Giza pyramids, you’ll drive to Cairo city center to visit the Egyptian Museum, one of the largest museums in the world. It houses a vast collection of statues and the treasures of King Tutankhamun.
