Felucca boat ride on the Nile - Amazing views, really good tour guide , his name was Mohammed and we went on the Queen boat (felucca) , he took great care of us, would definitely do it again and would 100% reccomend

Experience of sailing with a felluca on Nile - Nice felluca tour on Nile at the sunset. View of all the surrounding buiding, I took a lot of pictures with the help of our guide and as we had the tour at the afternoon, the sunset gave a lot nice shots .

Great Find - What a fabulous experience sailing along the Nile in a purely wind driven authentic sailing boat , no noise from engines etc to intrude on this magical experience. So amazing to see the city by day and night and to watch the sun setting over the skyline of Cairo. One of the best boat tours we have done this year , so peaceful and relaxing.

Nice views, no information, very delayed - This was booked at 15.30. The pickup was 15m late. At 17.30 (the trip was booked for 2 hrs) we were still waiting for a boat. Nice views but no information was given on the sights. The lunch was a takeaway sandwich from a roadside cafe though tasty. No toilet on the boat contrary to what we were told. Boat just kept circling around a small area. The guide did take and share some lovely pictures.

Check the information well - We missed this excursion for an organizational problem. On the booking coupon it was stated that our hotel was not listed and we had seven pick-up points in Cairo. We went to a checkpoint but no one came. We were waiting at the hotel! We were sent a message the night before (!) asking for our location but the wifi is not reliable and we did not receive it in time. We may be at fault but the other excursions with other operators went well and we were picked up at our hotel (even if the request for location was at the last minute!). In short, lock down organization and communication well so as not to suffer the same fate.

Nice people, limited access to the Nile - We ran out of time to do this in Luxor so we tried to do it in Cairo. Everything was great with the guide, driver and boat but the bridges that cross the river are too low for the felucca to pass under. Had we known that we would be in a very limited space we would have passed on the activity. Again, the people were great and we had fun but it would have been nice to have more of the river accessible for the trip.

Waste of time ! - If you have nothing better to do and need to waste 45 minutes of your time, then do this. Otherwise don’t bother. We got picked up from our hotel by our guide and driver. I’m not sure what the guide was there for as she was totally clueless about anything to do with Cairo. Any questions we asked about the buildings, culture, food she just shrugged. For the last 15 minutes of the ride she was on her phone. Very rude! We opted for the motor felucca, and we were able to go further up the river, but we just couldn’t wait for it to end. A guide is supposed to be engaging, fun and knowledgeable. I shall be requesting a refund !
