Start your full-day tour of Giza by visiting the Giza Pyramids, including the Great Pyramids of Giza - Cheops, Chephren, and Mykerinos. Then, visit the Valley Temple, where priests mummified the body of King Chephren, the owner of the second pyramid at Giza Plateau. Here, you can also get a close-up view of the Sphinx, the legendary guardian with a lion’s body and the head of King Chephren. (2.30 hours spent)

  • Pyramid of Menkaure - Menkaure’s pyramid complex includes a valley temple, a causeway, a mortuary temple, and the king’s pyramid. The valley temple once housed several statues of Menkaure. During the 5th Dynasty, a smaller ante-temple was added to the valley temple.
  • Khafre’s Pyramid - Khafre’s pyramid complex includes a valley temple, the Sphinx temple, a causeway, a mortuary temple, and the king’s pyramid. The valley temple yielded several statues of Khafre, some of which were found in a well in the temple floor by Mariette in 1860.
  • Great Sphinx - Here, you will also get a close-up view of the Sphinx, the legendary guardian with a lion’s body and the head of King Chephren, standing by the huge funeral complex.

  • Pyramids of Dahshour - Then, visit the Dahshur Pyramids (Bent and Red Pyramids). The Dahshur area is a royal necropolis located in the desert on the west bank of the Nile, approximately 40 kilometers (25 miles) south of Cairo. It is known for several pyramids, two of which are among the oldest, largest, and best-preserved in Egypt, built from 2613–2589 BCE. (1 hour spent)
  • Memphis and Sakkara - Continue your tour to Memphis City, the ancient capital of Egypt, where you will see the colossal statue of Ramses II and the great Alabaster Sphinx. This city dates back to 3100 B.C. (1 hour spent)
  • Ramses II Red Granite Statue - The Statue of Ramesses II is a 3,200-year-old figure depicting him standing. Discovered in 1820 by Giovanni Battista Caviglia at the Great Temple of Ptah near Memphis, Egypt, it is made from limestone and weighs 83 tons. This statue was built to celebrate the victory over the Hittites in the Battle of Kadesh in 1274 B.C.
  • Saqqara (Sakkara) Pyramids - Saqqara (Arabic: سقارة, Egyptian Arabic pronunciation: [sɑʔːɑːɾɑ]), also spelled Sakkara or Saccara in English /səˈkɑːrə/, is an Egyptian village in the markaz (county) of Badrashin in the Giza Governorate. It contains ancient burial grounds of Egyptian royalty, serving as the necropolis for the ancient Egyptian capital, Memphis. Saqqara contains numerous pyramids, including the Pyramid of Djoser, sometimes referred to as the Step Tomb, and a number of mastaba tombs. Located about 30 km (19 miles) south of modern-day Cairo, Saqqara covers an area of around 7 by 1.5 km (4.3 by 0.9 miles).
  • Pyramid of Unas - Unas built his pyramid between the complexes of Sekhemket and Djoser in North Saqqara. A long causeway was constructed to provide access to the pyramid site, anchored to the valley temple at a nearby lake. The causeway had elaborately decorated walls and a roof with a slit in one section to allow light to enter, illuminating the images. A long wadi was used as a pathway. The terrain was difficult to negotiate and contained old buildings and tomb superstructures.
  • Pyramid of Teti - The pyramid of Teti is a smooth-sided pyramid located in the pyramid field at Saqqara in Egypt. It is the second known pyramid containing pyramid texts. Excavations have revealed a satellite pyramid, two pyramids of queens with accompanying cult structures, and a funerary temple. The pyramid was opened by Gaston Maspero in 1882 and explored during several campaigns from 1907 to 1965. It was originally called Teti’s Places Are Enduring. The preservation above ground is very poor, and it now resembles a small hill. Below ground, the chambers and corridors are very well preserved.
  • Mastaba of Ti - The Mastaba of Ti is one of the most important archaeological sites in Saqqara. Discovered by Auguste Mariette, the mastaba contains two serdabs. The walls of the tomb depict various scenes of everyday life. Ti (also spelled Ty) was a senior official and royal architect in the Fifth Dynasty who served under several kings. He oversaw the sun temples of Neferirkare and Niuserre. His wife was Neferhetepes.
  • Cairo - At the end of the tour, you will be transferred back to your hotel.

GUARANTEED SATISFACTION - I am an Egyptian living abroad. Returning to egypt for holidays after a long absence, I opted to go on an excursion with travelino. Best choice I could have made. My family and friends where blown away with both the experience, and the service. Mr Tolba and his staff are at the highest level of professionalism. They are super accommodating and courteous. As I said I lived here and thought I knew, but I’m so glad I used travelino, we were given an experience, that was both new and mind blowing to an ex-local and first time visitors. We had the excellent pleasure of having Sophia Alaadin as our guide. She possesses an unbelievable combination of knowledge, charm, sense of humour, kind, courteous and professional! I cant imagine a better guide. We were lucky to have her! Travelino is your absolute best bet for any trip/excursion. You will not be in anyway disappointed with what they have in store for you.
