Here, you will also get a close-up view of the Sphinx, the legendary guardian with a lion’s body and the head of King Chephren.
-
Great Pyramid of Cheops (Khufu) - The only completely preserved portrait of the king is a three-inch high ivory figurine found in a later-period temple ruin at Abydos in 1903. All other reliefs and statues were found in fragments, and many of Khufu’s buildings are lost. Everything known about Khufu comes from inscriptions in his necropolis at Giza and later documents. For instance, Khufu is the main character noted in the Westcar Papyrus from the 13th dynasty.
-
Khafre’s Pyramid - Khafre’s pyramid complex includes a valley temple, the Sphinx temple, a causeway, a mortuary temple, and the king’s pyramid. The valley temple yielded several statues of Khafre, some of which were found in a well in the temple floor by Mariette in 1860. Others were discovered during successive excavations by Sieglin (1909–10), Junker, and Reisner.
-
Menkaure Pyramid - Menkaure’s pyramid complex includes a valley temple, a causeway, a mortuary temple, and the king’s pyramid. The valley temple once housed several statues of Menkaure. During the 5th Dynasty, a smaller ante-temple was added to the valley temple. The mortuary temple also yielded several statues of Menkaure.
-
Great Sphinx - Then, view the Sphinx, the legendary guardian with a lion’s body and the head of King Chephren, standing by the vast funeral complex.
-
Gizeh Plateau - The Giza Plateau (Arabic: هضبة الجيزة) is a limestone plateau in Giza, Egypt, home to the Fourth Dynasty Giza pyramid complex, which includes the pyramids of Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure, the Great Sphinx, several cemeteries, a workers’ village, and an industrial complex. It forms the northernmost part of the 16,000 ha Pyramid Fields in the Western Desert edge of the Nile Valley, part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Memphis and its Necropolis.

Discovered in 1820 by Giovanni Battista Caviglia at the Great Temple of Ptah near Memphis, Egypt, it is made from limestone and weighs 83 tons. This statue was built to celebrate the victory over the Hittites in the Battle of Kadesh in 1274 B.C.
-
Pyramids of Dahshour - Visit the Dahshur Pyramids (Bent and Red Pyramids). The Dahshur area is a royal necropolis in the desert on the West Bank of the Nile, about 40 kilometers (25 mi) south of Cairo. It is known for several pyramids, two of which are among the oldest, largest, and best-preserved in Egypt, built from 2613–2589 BCE.
After the tour, you will be transferred back to your hotel.
- Memphis and Sakkara - Finally, visit Memphis City, the first and oldest capital of ancient Egypt, located on the eastern bank of the Nile. It was the living city for Egyptians from the 1st to the 10th dynasty. The open-air museum features masterpieces such as statues of King Ramses II, the god Ptah, the goddess Sekhmet, incense-burning baskets, coffins, and the Egyptian calendar.
