- Valley of the Kings - Begin your Luxor adventure with a pickup from your Cairo hotel by our Tour Representative, followed by a transfer to the domestic airport. Upon arrival, our expert tour guide will meet you with a sign displaying your name. You’ll then be transported in a private, air-conditioned vehicle (latest model) to start your full-day tour of the West Bank of the Nile River. Here, you’ll visit the Valley of the Kings, Deir El Bahari Temple, the Colossi of Memnon, and the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut. Explore the Necropolis of Thebes on the eastern bank, then cross the Nile to the Valley of the Kings to see the tombs of various dynasties and the Temple of Deir El Bahari.
- Colossi of Memnon - On your return journey, stop at the Colossi of Memnon, two enormous seated statues of Amenophis III facing the Nile.
- Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el Bahari - Next, visit the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, an ancient mortuary temple located in Upper Egypt. Built for the Eighteenth Dynasty pharaoh Hatshepsut, who died in 1458 BC, the temple is situated beneath the cliffs at Deir el-Bahari on the west bank of the Nile near the Valley of the Kings.
Lunch is included between visits at a local restaurant, offering a full meal for each person (beverages not included).
- Luxor Temple - After lunch, continue to the East Bank to visit the Karnak and Luxor Temples. Explore the Luxor Temple to see its courtyard and the granite statues of Ramses the Great. Proceed by carriage or bus to Karnak.
- Temple of Karnak - Finally, visit Karnak, a complex of temples built during different reigns. Start at the Avenue of Sphinxes and see the Unfinished Propylon, the Hypostyle Hall with its 134 massive columns, the Obelisks of Queen Hatshepsut and Tutomosis III, the Temple of Amon adorned with lotus and papyrus designs, the Granite Scarab of Amenophis III, and the Sacred Lake.

Great guide in Luxor (Ahmed); unique sleeper train experience; poor transportation service in Cairo - Ahmed! Ahmed! Ahmed! You made our Luxor experience amazing! Great guide and an even better person! We had extra time due to the train’s early arrival and Ahmed improvised by booking us a private boat ride on the Nile. The sites in Luxor are incredible and Ahmed’s pleasant personality made it even more enjoyable. The sleeper train was a really cool and unique experience also.
As for the transfers on the Cairo end: we received a text an hour before our scheduled pickup, saying our driver was waiting for us. We scrambled to get to the hotel lobby, only to find out that they were at the wrong hotel. Then on the back end, there was no one to pick us up at the train station in Cairo/Giza. Quite a disappointment.
