An amazing trip - My wife and I took the tour together to Khinaliq and absolutely loved it. The tour was well planned, the meal provided was delicious, but mostly our guide, Leyla, was super friendly, and knowledgeable, and made the tour an amazing experience. Khinaliq and the candy cane mountains themselves were worth the drive there.

Beautiful views, delicious food & good company - Wow wow wow. Absolutely amazing trip and definitely work the full day to go visit the mountains. You go through canyons, forests, and historic areas showing a different perspective of Azerbaijan. You end at Kinaliq for a meal prepared by a local family and it is so special and delicious. I recommend everyone go. Also Leyla is a delightful guide and very informative and knowledgeable. You also get to stop at a nice restaurant to try honey and get any little gifts if you like. I would go on this trip again in the future— it was a once in a lifetime visit.

Fantastic day in the mountains - We had a fantastic day on this trip to the beautiful Caucasus mountains, in Northern Azerbaijan and close to the border with Russia. There were several visits along the way including the Candycane mountains, the Jewish village of Qirmizi Qeseba and forests still showing their autumnal colour. The destination was Azerbaijan’s highest village, Xinaliq (over 2200m), and lunch in a family homestay. The local meal there was great and it was good to have some insight into the way of life in such a remote area. Despite mist and rain in Baku, we were fortunate that the weather was sunny in the mountains, although cold, with ice on the ground and a recent thin layer of fine snow. Our guide Leyla was friendly and informative and always happy to take photos of the group. As the information says, it is a long day - we left at 8am got back about 8pm, and being November, most of the drive back was in the dark. But it was definitely worth the travelling. We would have preferred the travel company to confirm the pick up time and location early on the day before rather than the evening (as the time and location were not what we were expecting). Also the minibus had two rear-facing seats and we both need to face forward in order not to feel travel sick - but this was easily resolved at our first stop. Overall a great day!

Must visit! - Absolutely must visit for the route, spots covered, views and last but not the least, the Khinaliq village and the tasty lunch organised at a local host's place. Many thanks to Ms Leyla, our tour guide who was considerate and calm despite unreasonable demands and outburst by a fellow tourist.

Great opportunity to have a valuable experience in the quite Caucasian Mountains, all in 1 day - Group tour, journey into the Khinaliq in the Caucasian Mountains. Pick-up and drop-off from our hotel which was very convenient. Able to see Quba and stop off at other destinations along the way. Able to stop off at multiple points in the Caucasian mountains to admire the sights and take photos. Our tour guide was Leyla - very friendly, interactive and was very informative. Khinaliq is a fascinating place and eating lunch at a local family's house was a very enjoyable experience.

Exhilarating trip into the mountains. - Exhilarating trip up into the mountains of Azerbaijan, passing through the Jewish community of Guba and zig-zagging through the harpin bends and steep slopes to reach the hilltop village of Khinaliq, where we enjoyed lunch with a local family in their home (and thanks so much for accommodating my vegan dietary preferences - the meal was delicious!). A great trip - thanks to Layla - our guide - and our driver for the memorable and wonderful day!
