Wonderful trip - I have a wonderful time with Barry , he is kind and a very good story teller. He speaks very good English so you can easily understand all the stories from the. temple. He is also very knowledgeable, and you will learn a lot for sure. So I highly recommend Barry , and you will be surely have a great time with him !

Trip to Dandara - Thanks to Reflections travel for organising the tour to Dendera.Very reasonable for the price. The guide Barre was an informative and very genial man. He doesn’t make you feel that you’re at school with all the facts about the Egyptian history. He delivers his “talk” with a good amount of friendly banter. He wants to look after you. I would highly recommend him as your guide.

The Best Temples in Egypt with a Fantastic Guide! - My husband and I spent 17 days in Egypt, and the most amazing temples were seen on this tour! Dendera and Abydos were really so, so much more amazing than anything we saw during out time in Egypt, rivaled only perhaps by Abu Simal, but I would still say that this tour day was my favorite. I was a quite hesitant to spend the 3 hours driving to these sites, but the drive passed quickly and the countryside was beautiful and allowed my to see more of the daily village life in Egypt. Roshdy, our guide, was wonderful. He was very knowledgeable, interesting, and treated us to a wonderful lunch of falafel, that was , by far, the best we had in Egypt. He helped make the drive interesting, and kept us both engaged while being sensitive to when we wanted some down time and time to take all the pictures we needed. I would 100% encourage anyone who wanted to see the best of Egypt, not to miss Dendera and Abydos, and would also encourage you to take this tour with Roshdy, who was the perfect host.

Impressive doesn't begin to describe it! - What a great experience! Roshdy from Reflections Travel showed us around Denera and Abydos, and it was amazing! Roshdy told us about the history and mythology behind all the architecture, artwork, and even the surrounding areas. He was an absolute pleasure, and even arranged for an amazing falafel lunch between Temples! I can't begin to describe Abydos and Dendera. Impressive isn't close enough, there must be a bigger word. The carvings in Abydos are beautifully intricate, and have held so much detail, even after 3000 years and Dendera's colors are still so vibrant. I don't see how anything else will be able to impress me more. I would absolutely recommend anyone coming to Egypt to see Abydos and Dendera with Roshdy and Reflections Travel!

Full day, private, guided tour of Abydos and Dendera - The trip to Abydos and Dendera from Luxor with Reflections Travel exceeded our expectations. My wife and I are experienced, savvy and detail oriented travellers. We dont often choose guided tours as we prefer to explore on our own, Egypt and its rules forbidding foreign drivers dictated that some less visited sights, off the beaten path required hiring transport and for once I bent to my wives will and chose the guided option. Both of us being amateur Egyptologists and history buffs, I was sceptical of the guided part as most of the time, I find that the guides are versed in very basic and easy for tourist consumption type of information. In short I was blown away. Rashdie our guide was/is a treasure trove of information most of which you will not find in any history book or Egypt guide. His seemingly inexhaustible capacity for story telling and colourful fact findings really brought each site and all its complicated, legends, customs and history to vivid life. Breaking down the hieroglyphs, cartouches, etchings and carvings, answering all and any questions with the passion of a fellow lover of the rich history of this beautiful land. We were enchanted and forged what is sure to be a long term friendship with this kind and spiritual man. Not to leave out other important aspects, Khaled our superb driver was/is a master of the politics and logistics of the police check points of which there are many and which can if not managed properly be a real drag on your schedule. He skillfully managed each stop with grace and expediency which had to be seen to be fully appreciated. As we lingered way too long at each site not wanting to leave and our return seemed destined to be very late due also to friday heavy traffic in the rural parts as evening prayer faithfuls hit the roads, Khaled found near miraculous means of cutting thru, avoiding and missing the heave congestion parts of the way, all safely and comfortably in our new SUV which handled the often bumpy roads like a charm. Reflections travel, was in contact from the start and all through out, making sure we were well informed and prepared including all the paperwork required by the authorities. Everything was on time and as advertised but the real magic, antiquities aside was in spending the day with warm, wonderful people whos love for their land its beauty took it to heights we did not expect and cannot express our thanks and gratitude enough for and we cant wait to come back for more.Shukran jazeelan Habibi ! The day could have been so much better - This was a trip we were really looking forward to. It was a long drive from Luxor, and the guide chatted a bit on the way but not a great deal. I had visited both temples before without a guide, so was excited. We were rushed round Abydos and the guide was not happy when we spotted bats and wanted to watch them. He was also a little annoyed that we wanted to take photos. Dendera is my favourite temple, but this was rushed and we were not show the main things of the zodiac on the ceiling nor did we go into the Crypt. Very disappointing especially as these trips were not cheap. The most worrying thing was the driver. He drove in excess of 90 miles per hour, on roads not fit for this speed and slammed his breaks on at every speed bump. The majority of the journey he was on his mobile phone, well actually he had two mobiles and these were more important than the road. We had a puncture that needed to be fixed. The driver was extremely annoyed by the road checks to the extent that he argued with a police officer, rang someone who argued with the police officer and both were put in their place. These checks keep visitors safe but this driver was not keen on this or our safety just get us there and back as quickly as possible. Luckily we took water with us as we were only offered one bottle and no opportunity to get food. Both temples are beautiful but next time I will do what I did the first time, agree a price with a taxi driver to take me and let the residents Egyptian curators show me the beautiful bits in the temple. When we finally arrived back at our hotel, we paid the guide for our tickets and gave him a tip to share with the driver, which to be honest he was not too grateful with. Beautiful temples, the guide was OK but could have done a lot more to make the day special and the driver was dangerous.
