Day 1: Guiyang - Kaili - Miao Village - Show (L, D)
At 9:00 AM, meet your expert guide and driver in your hotel lobby to begin your exciting tour.
Depart for Kaili (approximately 2 hours), the heart of Miao minority culture. En route, visit a Miao village where you can admire traditional costumes and hairstyles, and learn embroidery from the locals….
Day 1: Guiyang - Kaili - Miao Village - Show (L, D)
At 9:00 AM, meet your expert guide and driver in your hotel lobby to begin your exciting tour.
Depart for Kaili (approximately 2 hours), the heart of Miao minority culture. En route, visit a Miao village where you can admire traditional costumes and hairstyles, and learn embroidery from the locals. Enjoy a special local lunch with a family.
Next, travel (about 1 hour) to another authentic Miao village to experience village life. You may have the opportunity to visit a local family.
Then, proceed to another Miao village to watch a performance of Miao singing and dancing. Participate in their traditional wine-drinking greeting. After the show, enjoy free time to explore the village or shop with the locals.
Overnight stay in a local guesthouse with Western amenities.
Day 2: Leigongshan Natural Reserve - Xijia Village - Gejia Village - Guiyang (B, L)
At 8:00 AM, your guide and driver will meet you at your guesthouse with a simple breakfast including omelette, bread, fruits, coffee, etc.
After breakfast, depart for Leigongshan Natural Reserve (about 1 hour). Enjoy a light hike through the original forest and waterfalls, a pleasant 2-hour morning exercise.
Afterwards, head to Kaili for a local lunch at a restaurant. Then, visit a Xijia Minority village for a family visit to learn about this small tribe in China. Hike a mountainous path to another authentic Gejia minority village, known for batik making. You will have the chance to observe and learn the batik-making process.
Finally, your guide will take you back to your hotel in Guiyang, concluding the trip.
