• Qingdao Site Museum of the Former German Governor’s Residence - The German Governor’s Mansion stands as a remarkable example of colonial-era architecture, showcasing a unique Art-Nouveau style. Constructed at a lavish cost in 1903, its grandeur remains evident. A 30-minute tour of the mansion will be conducted.
• Protestant Church (Jidu Jiaotang) - Built in 1908, the Protestant Church is a picturesque structure with a simple yet elegant design. It also features a functioning clock mechanism dating back to 1909.
• Qingdao Beer Museum - The most significant legacy of German rule is undoubtedly the introduction of the renowned Tsingdao Brewery! Following lunch, a visit to the site for a museum tour is planned, where complimentary tastings are available if desired. The tour begins at Signal Hill, offering the best view of Qingdao’s Old Town, and continues with a walking tour of the Old Town. Highlights include the Gothic-style St Michael’s Cathedral, the 120-year-old Protestant Church, and the Bavarian-style Old Governor’s Mansion, with a lunch break at a local food market.

After lunch, visitors will learn about the Tsingtao Beer Brewery, an ideal spot to sample one of the world’s most popular and best-selling beers. (Fun Fact: The brewery was founded by the Germans!)

The tour concludes in the Badaguan neighborhood, a spa village by the seaside featuring internationally inspired architecture.
