Embark on a captivating journey through the natural wonders of Qingyuan with a 3-day private tour. Discover the breathtaking landscapes of Gulong Canyon, Yingxi Peak Corridor, and the majestic Danxia Mountain, each offering a unique glimpse into the beauty of northern Guangdong Province.
A Journey Through Gulong Canyon
As I embarked on the 3-day private tour from Guangzhou, I was filled with anticipation. The journey began with a two-hour drive to Gulong Canyon, a place that promised breathtaking views and a unique experience. Upon arrival, the sight of the Nine-waterfall cascading from the top of the hill to the pool below was nothing short of mesmerizing. The sound of the water crashing down was a symphony of nature, a reminder of the raw beauty that exists in the world.
Walking on the Glass Walkway and Glass Bridge was an exhilarating experience. The transparent path beneath my feet offered a thrilling view of the canyon below, a perspective that was both terrifying and awe-inspiring. The Glass UFO Platform, suspended 72 meters in the sky, provided a panoramic view of the waterfall and the surrounding landscape. It was a moment of reflection, a chance to appreciate the grandeur of nature and the engineering marvel that allowed us to witness it from such a vantage point.
After a delightful lunch, we continued our journey to the Yingxi Peak Corridor. The drive was scenic, with lush greenery and towering peaks lining the route. Our accommodation for the night was a charming resort nestled in a picturesque town, a perfect end to a day filled with adventure and wonder.
Exploring the Yingxi Peak Corridor
The next morning, we set out to explore the Tongtian Rock of Yingde. The Jiulong Small Town was our first stop, a quaint place that seemed frozen in time. The Dongtian Rock Cave was a highlight of the day, a natural wonder that left me in awe. Walking on the glass pavement inside the cave was a surreal experience, as the intricate formations and the play of light created a magical atmosphere.
A boat ride along the river offered a different perspective of the cave, a serene journey that allowed us to soak in the beauty of the surroundings. The local lunch that followed was a culinary delight, a taste of the region’s rich flavors and traditions.
Our journey then took us to Danxia Geopark, a place that had long been on my bucket list. The two-hour drive was a time for reflection, a chance to absorb the experiences of the past two days and prepare for the wonders that awaited us at Danxia.
The Majestic Danxia Mountain
The final day of our tour was dedicated to exploring the Danxia Mountain Geopark, a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its unique rock formations. The Yangyuan Rock, with its phallic shape, was a sight to behold, a testament to the whimsical nature of geological formations.
Zhanglao Peak offered the best views of the park, a vantage point that required a bit of effort to reach but was well worth the climb. For those less inclined to hike, a cable car provided an alternative way to reach the top, ensuring that everyone could enjoy the breathtaking scenery.
As we made our way back to Guangzhou, I reflected on the journey. The tour had been a perfect blend of adventure, culture, and natural beauty, a reminder of the wonders that lie beyond the bustling cities. It was an experience that enriched my understanding of the region and left me with memories that would last a lifetime.
