- Gobustan Rock Art - The journey begins with a visit to the historic Gobustan. By exploring the natural and architectural wonders of Gobustan Rock Art, visitors will gain invaluable insights into Azerbaijan’s history. The Cultural Landscape spans 537 hectares and includes three areas of a plateau with rocky boulders emerging from the semi-desert of central Azerbaijan. It boasts an impressive collection of over 6,000 rock engravings, showcasing 40,000 years of rock art. Gobustan is a semi-desert region featuring five hills renowned for rock art sites: Kichik Dash, Boyuk Dash, Jinghirdag-Yazily Tepe, Shongardag, and Shikhgaya. Gobustan rock art has notable connections with Western European Upper Palaeolithic open-air rock art.
- Mud Volcanoes - Azerbaijan is a unique and classic region where mud volcanism thrives. Over 350 types of mud volcanoes (active, extinct, buried, oil-producing, underwater, island volcanoes) are found in the dry part of eastern Azerbaijan and the adjacent Caspian Sea. Due to the number, variety, and activity of these natural monuments, Azerbaijan stands unparalleled. The country is considered the homeland of mud volcanoes.
- Bibi-Heybat Mosque - The magnificent Bibi-Heybat Mosque, built in a classic oriental style, is beautifully designed with white marble and dome-colored glass. The mosque features a glass mosaic inscribed with Surat al-Nisa of the Qur’an. Standing 5 meters high, the mosque can accommodate about 3,000 people simultaneously.
- Yanardag State Historical, Cultural and Natural Reserve - The trip continues with a visit to the famous Fire Mountain (Yanardag), which has a ten-meter-long wall of fire that never extinguishes and burns continuously along the edge of the hill. The volcano, nominated for UNESCO World Heritage status, has been burning for hundreds of years. With natural gas seeping to the surface, the burning mountain attracts visitors day and night. Before the 7th century, the volcano served as a temple for the Mecus, and although the surrounding buildings were destroyed, the fire continues to burn.
- Ateshgah - Fire Temple - Ateshgah, located in the Suraxani district of Baku, is one of the three Mecusi temples in the world. According to Zoroastrianism, this place is as sacred as Mecca. There are three shrines in Iran, India, and Azerbaijan. Every tourist who enters the cellars can experience the wonders of this place. For instance, upon entering the 12 cells, visitors will see a strange sight of flames burning in the dome of the four-story building in the yard of Ateshgah. It feels as if one is standing on a step of the flame. In the 18th cell, if one stops for a while, strange sounds can be heard, resembling mixed voices that are clearly audible but incomprehensible.
- Heydar Aliyev Cultural Center - The final short photo stop will be at the Heydar Aliyev Cultural Center. The park of the Heydar Aliyev Center is one of the most beautiful places in the city to relax and have fun. Visitors can unwind, take a walk, view various outdoor exhibitions in the park, and capture beautiful moments in photos and videos. The art composition “I Love Baku” is also featured in the park of the Heydar Aliyev Center.
