Gobustan National and Open-air Rock Art Museums - This ancient historical locale is inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Gobustan boasts of an abundant collection of archaeological sites. Mud Volcanoes - Close to Gobustan, our journey includes a visit to the Mud Volcanoes. The distinctive Ateshgah Fire Temple - is an iconic attraction in Azerbaijan. Historical sources suggest that even before the establishment of the Indian Temple Of Fire in Surakhani at the end of the 17th century, this site was considered sacred by local people due to the ‘seven burning flame holes’. Yanar Dag (Fire Mountain) - Yanar Dag is a fire that naturally and perpetually blazes on a slope on the Absheron Peninsula on the Caspian Sea, close to Baku, Azerbaijan’s capital - a nation fondly referred to as ‘the Land of Fire’. The fire spurts up to a height of 3 metres (9.8 ft) from a slender and porous sandstone layer.
