• Quba - Your first stop in Guba will be the historic Handmade Carpet Factory known as “Qadim Quba,” where you can observe the intricate process of carpet weaving by local women. You’ll have the chance to see carpets being woven, similar to those displayed in the world’s finest museums.
• Khinalug - Following the factory visit, you’ll head further north to Khinalug Village, situated in the Greater Caucasus Mountains at an elevation of 2350 meters above sea level. The village is renowned for its stunning natural beauty and picturesque mountain slopes. Khinalug is home to around 380 houses, each approximately 200 to 300 years old. During your visit, you’ll be welcomed into a local home to enjoy tea and local pastries.
• Qechresh - On your return journey from Khinalug, you’ll have the opportunity to stop and take photos in the Qecresh forest. Here, you can interact with locals who may offer horse rides.
• Quba - After visiting Khinalug, you’ll explore the 100% Jewish Settlement known as Red Village. This village has been home to nearly 1000 Mountain Jews living peacefully since the 18th century. You’ll see the Synagogue, Jewish Religious School, and Religious Rainwater Bathhouse. It’s truly remarkable to witness how Jews and Muslims have coexisted and shared the city harmoniously since the 18th century.
