• Quba - Journey to Quba. The Griz Waterfall Hiking Tour typically begins at 07:30 AM with guest pickups from their locations in Baku. The first stop is the Quba district, renowned for its delicious apples and exquisite carpets. The drive takes about 2 hours. Upon arrival, we will switch to off-road vehicles like Niva Ladas or UAZs, which are better suited for reaching the mountain village. - Qrız - Journey to Griz Village. En route to the village, we will encounter numerous breathtaking views. If desired, we can stop to take some memorable photos. The drive takes about an hour and a half. Griz is one of the most remote villages in the Shahdag region. The locals primarily make a living through carpet weaving, animal husbandry, and grazing. Historically, Griz was a fortress, but now only ruins remain. Upon arrival, you will have a short break to enjoy a cup of hot tea in a village house. - Qrız - Griz Waterfall Hike. After the tea break, we will embark on an easy 3 km hike to a waterfall located in a small cave. In winter, the water freezes, creating a magical scene. The stunning mountain panoramas will also captivate you. Lunch Break. After the hike, we will return to Griz village, where a local family will host us for lunch, prepared with traditional Caucasian mountain recipes. All ingredients are locally and organically sourced. The End of the Tour. At the end of the tour, the driver will drop you off at your location in Baku’s city center. The return trip takes approximately 3 and a half hours.
