Wonderful Tour/Best Tour Guide - We had an amazing walking tour with Mr. Byrnes. He was incredibly knowledgeable about every part of the tour. We learned so much about Quebec’s history and culture. We’re really thankful he was our tour guide. I would rate him 5 stars. If you’re looking for an excellent tour guide, look no further. The Best Historical Tour I’ve Ever Experienced - Tommy Byrne is a historian by trade and possesses encyclopedic knowledge about the sites, cultural evolution and overall history of the region. He is affable, thoughtful, deeply knowledgeable, and passionate, so there was never a dull moment on the tour: which touched on topics ranging from local cuisine to contemporary political structure. His intimate familiarity with the sites we visited enhanced his historical acumen with colorful commentary influenced by his personal experience and family legacy. Even the damp and dank weather didn’t undermine the experience.

Small and personal Informative walking tour of Quebec tailored to suit our family. - Tommy was a great tour guide - his knowledge and experiences of Quebec are impressive and he was able to share with us in a very interesting and informative way. Tommy was also very accommodating and easy to communicate with as we had to change our tour time/date due to airline issues which we really appreciated.

Many stories told from a natives perspective - Tommy is an interesting and deeply knowledgeable guide with a thorough understanding of the rich history and dynamic evolution of Quebec's population and cultural center. My wife and I were treated to a full three hours of education provided by a true expert on Quebec as only a life-long citizen could offer - getting into the perspectives on its wars, religions, social neighborhoods, and much more.

Great Experience in Old Quebec - Tommy Byrne is entertaining and extremely knowledgeable about the history of Quebec and the city in general. He gave us recommendations for restaurants and the best French onion soup:). Fascinating history of Quebec made more so because it was clear that Tommy has actively worked in preservation of the artifacts of the city. He also knows the locals and was obviously well respected (a local referred a person to him for a tour during our walk). Loved this walk and highly recommend. **Wear good sturdy walking shoes. This tour is not for people with physical limitations— Quebec is hilly with cobblestones.

A wonderful 3 hours in historic Quebec. - As with all Tours by Locals, we had an outstanding tour with a true local, Steeve, who has been guiding in this area for 30 years. He has spent so much time in Old Quebec, it seemed he had eaten at every restaurant, and knew every shop owner. He paced the tour beautifully, and interspersed historical, architectural, and modern reconstruction context into his stories and vignettes. This was a wonderful and enjoyable three hours, and we would continue to support Tours in any part of the world, and Steeve, if you are in Quebec.

Learned so much - Wow. Tommy really knows Quebec City! We had such a great time (ages 16-80) on our private tour . Highly recommend … we all agreed we felt like we spent 3 hours with a wise professor ! Great for history nerds like us (and he was very flexible when we realized we were in the wrong meet up spot).
