Viator to the Rescue - The relative that was scheduled to pick my son and his friends up from LGA was not going to arrive within a sufficient amount of time. As a regular usher of aviator for all of my international travel needs, I knew the prompt, professional and courteous service that I was getting. Within 7 min of me making the reservation, I received a call from the transportation company as well as a call from the driver. By that time, my son texted that they were in the private SUV and heading to Manhattan!! Thank you Viator for continuing to prove why you are my #1 service for all of my travel needs!!

JFK to Manhattan - Not being familiar with the JFK Terminal we landed at and the protocol for getting our ride, we called the number provided to us for Carmel and were given fairly good directions on how to locate our driver. The only issue was (not the driver's fault) the rush hour traffic to Manhattan took almost 1 1/2 hours and good thing we were not in a rush ourselves. The driver's car, however seemed to be having problems - but overall, it was an okay trip. What made it painless was the directions provided by the call taker and the driver having our name on a sign. Good job.

Ordering a taxi - We ordered a taxi ahead of time and booked through Viator. Pick-up was JFK but local taxi company showed pick-up at LGA. All our paperwork showed JFK. After waiting 30 minutes for a taxi, I called the local vendor, Carmel Car & Limousine Service. Was told I would have to pay an additional charge for JFK pick-up ($8.57). I agreed to the charge because I didn't want to rebook. The taxi finally came and had a horrible cigarette smoke smell causing my husband, who was just getting over a cold, to start coughing again. Very unhappy with the service.

UNSAFE! Horrible experience - HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE - UNSAFE! On the way home from JFK, my driver took a detour to do a personal errand. Despite my clear objections, he drove us through Queens to a remote area where he proceeded to deliver an envelope to a garage. The detour without traffic would have added an additional 30 minutes, but as we hit traffic, it ADDED AN ADDITIONAL HOUR - the route we should have taken would have taken 50 minutes. It took 2 hours to get to my destination! During the trip, I was communicating with a family member via text. This person contacted Carmel and explained what was happening in real-time. The customer service representative said they would file a complaint but that I would be responsible for paying the driver. I have since tried to reach customer service several times, but they have been unresponsive. As a woman alone in a car with a male driver traveling in unfamiliar areas and on highways, I felt I had no alternatives but to stay in the car and hope that I would arrive home safely. DO NOT USE CARMEL and Limo Service! I would have given (0) stars, but the system requires that I give (1) a post.

New york - Terrible customers service. We contacted the service and they have advice in 13min the ar will be there.we waited for 40 min no car.we cotcated the service again and they ha e told us previous car is cancelled and we will have a new car.over after nearly 2 hours the car come.Do not use this company. TERIBBLE SERVICE

Left at airport - Having used your company a lot in the last couple of months I’m very disappointed that having booked transport from jfk you also had my flight details, you went to wrong airport. At time I booked I definitely put jfk not the other, it then cost me $150 for a cab, I’m not happy

Not what was advertised - I generally do not leave reviews, but the experience was just terrible from beginning to end. They advertise luxury vehicles and a private experience, but nothing was luxury. During the booking process you have to enter your flight information to ensure your ride will be present upon your arrival; however, you still must call. The representative was rude and kept asking me for details about my location at the airport. We were traveling to a new city, and I kept stating I did not know, which is why I entered all flight information before my flight as required. She continued to yell “if you want a ride the driver needs to know where to go; I cant see your flight info, go ask someone.” The driver wasn't even there? After a 10 minute wait someone calls my phone asking what I am wearing so they know it’s me standing outside. A very old mini van arrives, despite my ordering a luxury sedan, where my husband and I loaded the luggage i to the back. The seats were all torn up, scratching the back of my daughter’s legs. The driver would not stop talking. He continued interrupting my husband and my conversations and was highly aggressive trying to get us to repeat directions of his home state. After arriving at the hotel, we paid the toll fees he stated were not included in the price, and we tipped him well. He then had the audacity to approach my husband asking for more money. When my husband declined, he then looked at me and said, “yall dont have more money?” I will never utilize this company again, and will be requesting a full refund for jot getting what was paid for.
