- Midhope Castle - Featured as Lallybroch in Outlander, Midhope is situated on the Hopetoun House Estate. This is a 16th century tower house that is derelict but beautiful. You will be able to walk up the drive and get some photographs at the favoured and iconic location. Filming for season 7 and for the prequal to the show may be taking place in 2023. As a result this location is subject opening and filming restrictions.
- Blackness Castle - Blackness is a stunningly preserved castle sitting on the banks of the river Forth. Originally built as a prison this was used to hold Jacobites during the rebellion of the 18th century. This location was famously used as Fort William in Outlander. The base of Black Jack Randall.
- Linlithgow Palace - A 14th century Palace ruin Linlithgow Palace is the birth place of Mary Queen of Scots and was used as Wentworth Prison in Outlander. The Palace is closed internally at this time, but access to grounds and exterior photographs are possible.
- Doune Castle - Doune Castle sits on the river Teith and is a magnificent 14th century castle. Originally built for the Duke of Albany it is owned by Clan Murray. This places a significant role in Outlander as Castle Leoch and is a must visit for any Outlander fan.
- Culross - Culross Village on the other side of the river Forth is a beautiful 17th century historical village used as Cranesmuir in Outlander, as well as other locations.
- Falkland - Falkland is one of the first locations we are introduced to in the show and plays the role of Inverness, where Frank and Claire go on Honeymoon. There will be time to wonder the streets of the village and get those iconic location photographs. The village is also home to Falkland Palace, Mary Queen of Scots favoured residence in Scotland.
- Dysart Harbour & Harbourmaster’s House - Dysart Harbour played a key role in season two of the production as the French port. Dysart is a lovely little fishing village situated on the East Coast of Fife with the harbour and village dating back to the 16/17th centuries.
- South Queensferry - Our final stop is a photo stop at the charming village of Queensferry. The area is famed for the iconic Forth Bridge built during the industrial revolution.
