Highlights
  • Forth Road Bridge - The Forth Road Bridge is a renowned UNESCO World Heritage Site that joins the historic settlements of North and South Queensferry. The oldest bridge dates back to 1890 and is an iconic symbol of Scotland’s 19th century bold engineering.
  • Pitlochry - Pitlochry is a delightful Scottish Perthshire Town, making it an ideal stop for refreshments and bathroom facilities.
  • Dalwhinnie Distillery - Dalwhinnie Distillery, famous for its single malt, is the highest distillery in Scotland at over 1000 feet above sea level.
  • Commando Monument - The Commando Monument is a large three-figure bronze statue commemorating the service and sacrifice given by thousands of Allied troops during the Second World War, with Ben Nevis looming in the background.
  • Loch Ness View Point - Arriving in Fort Augustus just after midday, it will give you time to explore the town, including the famous ‘Neptune’s staircase’, which is a series of locks that lower or raise boats from one altitude to another. Fort Augustus has many quaint little cafes for lunch.

Loch Ness is renowned worldwide for its incredible beauty, and of course the legendary Loch Ness Monster.

There is an optional cruise of the loch with a 1pm sailing. (Cruise price starts from £19.00 per person, with family tickets available. Not included in the tour price.)

  • Fort William - Rising above all other mountains in the UK, Ben Nevis is the tallest, and overshadows Fort William. We will take you to a vantage point where you will be able to take in the scenery and take in those captivating photos.
  • Glencoe Visitor Centre - Time permitting, we will stop over at Glencoe Visitors Centre, which contains a host of information on this famous valley’s geology, history and wildlife. The highlight of the centre is a reconstruction of a traditional 18th century Turf and Creel house from the Glencoe Valley, which you can enter to experience how the inhabitants of the valley lived 300 years ago.
  • The Three Sisters - The Three Sisters of Glencoe - the most photographed place in Scotland - are three mountain peaks formed 420 million years ago by a super volcano, and the valley below carved by glaciers over millions of years.

There is a hidden glen behind it that was used by the MacDonald clan to hide cattle stolen from their neighbours.

  • Rannoch Moor - Rannoch moor is often referred to as the most desolate place in the UK, due to being the largest bog expanse in the British isles. It was also used as the setting for the filming of scenes of two Harry Potter movies.
  • Loch Tulla Viewpoint - A spectacular vantage point over looking ‘everything Scottish’, rugged mountains, Lochs and pine forests
  • Kilmahog - Breaking up the journey home, we will make a brief stop to hand feed the Highland Hairy ‘Coos’ at Callander Woolen Mill.
  • Doune Castle - Doune Castle is an important Scottish historic castle, which was also a filming location for popular TV and cinema pictures, such as Outlander, Game of Thrones, and Monty Python and the Holy Grail.
  • Stirling Castle - One of the most important and largest castles in Scottish history, Stirling Castle sits on top of a hill of volcanic rock above the town of Stirling.
  • The Kelpies & The Helix - The Kelpies are the largest equine statues in the world, and were commissioned not only as a homage to the horses used in the Scottish coal mines, but also as a representation of the mythical Kelpies from Scottish fairy folklore.

Martin and this tour was the best!!! - We had an amazing trip to the Highlands!! Martin did a fantastic job of guiding us throughout the day and providing us with plenty of information about Scotland. He tailored the trip to what we wanted to see and even added in a few extra stops since we had time. We looked at a lot of options when booking and we were so glad we picked this one. Would definitely come back and do it again to see these amazing places and have this wonderful experience, highly recommend Martin and this Highlands tour!!

Fantastic Experience - Simon was incredible. Knowledgable and personable, he truly made it a day to remember. You’re able to explore as you want and he’s very accommodating to your interests. There is no better way to experience the Scottish countryside when staying in Edinburgh and/or Glasgow

A very dedicated private tour operator - We were looking for a private tour mainly to visit Loch Ness, as this was one of my childhood myths and I just had to visit the place to fulfill my curiosity of this story. Martin of E2G tours is a very friendly person and he suggested a lot of places for our day trip. I also had a few "must see" places so that makes it easier to schedule the tour. I also asked him for some suggestions which he offered his opinion. There are a pool of drivers working with this company and we were assigned "Chas" that day. We were transported in a very nice car and the price was very reasonable. Chas is a very decent and polite guy. He also briefed us a lot of scenic places and the history behind them. We also had a common topic of interest which bonded us well. The weather that day was terrible but it was out of anyone's control (in fact, that was the worst day of weather out of our whole Scotland trip) ... but Chas was very accommodative in asking us and suggesting where we prefer to go under such condition. He was willing to "extend" our trip to a few more scenic spots as we couldn't spend time or get out of the car during parts of the tour when it was pouring. Overall, we had a very fruitful day trip, despite the heavy rain and wind... Just a couple of EBI comments: - Our driver experienced a delay (almost 45 mins) in picking us up from hotel due to traffic jam from Glasgow to Edinburgh. While he did message us during the delay to inform us of his current status and ETA, I think if the drivers could check the traffic condition on GPS prior departure, that could have been better managed; - Upon payment, we only realised that the credit card option was not available, luckily we had a few hundred ₤ in spare cash, otherwise, it would have been awkward as we are overseas tourists and do not have UK bank account to transfer funds. Nonetheless, we had a great time and I do recommend E2G yours as they are reliable, friendly and trustworthy. Thank you Martin and Chas!

Long tour but well worth it! - We chose this itinerary as part of a 2 day tour the owner Martin organised for us. It was a long, but pretty incredible day. The Loch Ness cruise was something we had been looking to for a long time. The only complaint is that we didn't see Nessie... Then Glencoe was an awe-inspiring place, learning about the McDonalds and the place, surrounded by the mountains and waterfalls. Unique.

Good Sights, Lacking History and Information - We enjoyed seeing all of the sights, but the driver must be educated on the history, dates, and important facts about each different stop. The driver should be your guide and information source.
