A great day out. - I booked the thirty minute tour as a surprise for my wife’s birthday but when I told her where she was going I have to say she was less than impressed. We boarded at Hawes pier and when we set off the skipper introduced himself and told us that an audio commentary would be provided for the rest of the trip. The commentary was first rate and informed us about all the history of the Forth and the islands and the places of special interest we passed. The weather dry and the Firth pretty calm so that enabled to sit out on the upper deck. When we returned to the pier my wife said that she had thoroughly enjoyed her day out and loved the commentary. Well done to all involved.

Sign up now! - Absolutely wonderful afternoon. Canon Mark walked us around and through the abbey and thoroughly captured our attention. The abbey is beautiful and amazing and humbling. The views from the island are spectacular, and the boat ride was great. Overall so great. HIGHLY recommend, especially if you enjoy history.

Interesting 90 minutes. Very informative - Loved our 90 minutes tour of the bridges and the history and stories about them. Unfortunately it started pouring rain so we had to come inside, but that said it was enjoyable. Tea/ coffee and drinks available onboard too.

Glad we booked this excursion - Really enjoyed our boat ride. Commentary was very interesting, boat was steady in the water. The bridges are amazing, and we saw lots of gray seals.

Slightly disappointing by the headline of the Recommendation (breathtaking) - It's not breathtaking. If you book this tour, add the visit to the island (extra cost). Because the boat trip itself is not very special, you sail under a few bridges to the island and back. You're too far from the coast and Edinburgh to really see anything. The trip to the island is 45 minutes and back also 45 minutes and that's it. Friendly people, but not really spectacular.
