Ian is a vibe - This was my second visit to Gibbston Valley Wines, and it didn’t disappoint. We began with a tasty lunch in a private room with colleagues, then enjoyed an exceptional wine tour led by the most energetic guide, Ian. His boundless energy, deep knowledge of wine, and genuine passion made the experience truly memorable.

Great winery tour with lovely Gibbston Valley Winery team!!! - We had a great day - spending time at the cheese deli, warming by the fire on a cold foggy day, and a great wine tour/tasting with Sally who was full of great info and ready to answer heaps of novice questions! We really enjoyed the wine cave tour topped off by a lovely lunch where we were looked after by Jolie! Can’t forget about George who was our coach driver who was kind and thoughtful! We definitely recommend visiting this winery:) and will be back!

Great place. Well worth the visit. - Very interesting story behind the wine cave. We did the tour that included the winery and the cave. Tour guide was knowledgeable and very friendly. Tour was well worth the price. We had lunch in the restaurant afterwards which was awesome. Great food, good wine, good atmosphere. Free wifi was helpful too as mobile coverage at Gibbston is not amazing.

A wonderful afternoon at Gibbston - The wine and cheese cave tour was excellent! Since it was a weekday in winter, I was the only person signed up for this particular tour on the day I went. Julie was my guide, and she helped me have an incredible experience. She explained the wines, cheeses, and even the history behind the winery and the cave quite well. Julie was so warm and welcoming--an excellent guide and a knowledgeable source on wine. As a bonus, Julie did some of the tour for me in French (my request) so that I could practice my French speaking and listening. :) I highly recommend the Gibbston Valley tours--the wine is amazing, the location is beautiful, and the guides are fantastic!

Cave Wine Tasting - Wow! What a fabulous experience which has taken my own cheeseboard and wine pairing to new heights. Instead of just a normal wine tasting, this is a wine tasting paired with the correct cheeses. For the hostess with the mostest this is the tour to give you knowledge and understanding of your cheeseboard and wines for your guests. All done in the cave where the wines are maturing. Loved it!

Great experience at Gibbston Valley Winery. - Our group of 45 visited Gibbston Valley Winery on a cold, rainy Monday morning, and despite the weather, we had a really great experience. The highlight of our visit was the fascinating wine cave tour. Our knowledgeable guides shared insightful information about the winemaking process, which truly enhanced our appreciation for the wines we tasted. Following the tour, we warmed up at the cellar door, where we were greeted by a welcoming open fireplace. The cozy ambiance was perfect for enjoying the excellent selection of wines. Each wine we sampled was a testament to the quality and craftsmanship of Gibbston Valley Winery. For large groups, Gibbston Valley Winery is an ideal destination. The staff managed our group seamlessly, ensuring everyone had a fantastic time. We highly recommend Gibbston Valley Winery for its exceptional tours, warm hospitality, and superb wines.

Touristy, over hyped winery with mediocre wines - We visited this very touristy winery as part of a tour. The weather was a bit dicey so we missed the vineyards tour and visited the cave instead. While the guide was interesting, the wines are mediocre at best. The whole experience seemed geared to large tour groups. Much too commercial for my tastes. Next time we will visit other smaller, family owned wineries.
