Great experience at Gibbston Valley Winery. - Our group of 45 visited Gibbston Valley Winery on a cold, rainy Monday morning, and despite the weather, we had a really great experience. The highlight of our visit was the fascinating wine cave tour. Our knowledgeable guides shared insightful information about the winemaking process, which truly enhanced our appreciation for the wines we tasted. Following the tour, we warmed up at the cellar door, where we were greeted by a welcoming open fireplace. The cozy ambiance was perfect for enjoying the excellent selection of wines. Each wine we sampled was a testament to the quality and craftsmanship of Gibbston Valley Winery. For large groups, Gibbston Valley Winery is an ideal destination. The staff managed our group seamlessly, ensuring everyone had a fantastic time. We highly recommend Gibbston Valley Winery for its exceptional tours, warm hospitality, and superb wines.

Fabulous Bike Riding day at Gibbston Valley - We had a fabulous day riding around Gibbston Valley on E-Bikes. We started the day at Gibbston Valley where Zac gave us a very knowledgeable introduction to the area and a unique wine tasting experience in the Cave. All wineries were very hospitable and the food and wine were exceptional. Would highly recommend a visit.

Pinot Noir Only - My wife and I visited the Gibbston Valley winery on the Easter weekend in 2024 for the wine cave tour. We didn’t realise that they don’t sell alcohol during Easter. Fortunately the tour included 3 tastings which cost $25 a head. It’s a great little winery.

A little underwhelming - Honestly I was underwhelmed. The wines tasted in the cave were not nearly as good as those available for tasting at the main cellar/restaurant. The experience was short and felt a little rushed. It was on par with the price we paid though.

Touristy, over hyped winery with mediocre wines - We visited this very touristy winery as part of a tour. The weather was a bit dicey so we missed the vineyards tour and visited the cave instead. While the guide was interesting, the wines are mediocre at best. The whole experience seemed geared to large tour groups. Much too commercial for my tastes. Next time we will visit other smaller, family owned wineries.
