Get your pulse racing on an ATV adventure on Queenstown Hill! Riding a fully automatic, 400cc all-terrain vehicle (also known as a quad bike), you’ll follow trails to the hilltop for panoramic views over Queenstown. Comprehensive training is provided, along with safety equipment and clothing and transport from Queenstown. This small-group tour is limited to 11 people, ensuring you’ll enjoy personal attention from your guide.
- Minimum age is 16 years; 12 - 15 years old’s can ride as a guest with our instructor
- Operates in all weather conditions, please dress appropriately
- Minimum numbers apply (min 2 per tour for confirmed departure, min 4 on NZ public holidays). There is a possibility of cancellation after confirmation if there are not enough passengers to meet requirements. In the event of this occurring, you will be offered an alternative or full refund
- Pick-ups available from central Queenstown accommodations.
- Quad Training: Riders must display ‘safe riding’ skills during the training phase of this tour. Don’t worry if this is you, we offer either a $50 dollar refund or our guides will drive you up to enjoy the epic views.

Loved it - We thoroughly enjoyed our quad biking experience. The views over Queenstown were amazing. Guides were fabulous - thanks to Jordan for accommodating a more sedate pace for the older folks in our group, and to Ben for giving our son a more exhilarating experience which he rated 10/10. Big thumbs up 👍

Amazing Nomad ATV tour - Despite us being Quad biking before in Australia and overseas, Mark & Jordy were incredibly professional, thorough & experienced, we were very lucky to have them as our guides! covering all safety measures with us before the ride, patient and really helpful. This Nomad ATV tour is the best we have done, its an absolute must on your to do list, we’ve done heaps of activities whilst here, but this one was a highlight for our family. The views and tour through the mountains is simply incredible, both up and down the valleys, you will not regret it, it’s worth every dollar :). get it booked in!!

Must do in Queenstown - Good experience as this was the first time we do Quad bike ATV. Mike and Jordi are good trainers with good skill in coffee making when we need that at the peak of terain. Good job guys.

Best views of Queenstown and great fun - Awesome morning trip done in snow and under blue skies. Fantastic scenery and a lovely hot chocolate and cake with surely one of the most stunning views in Queenstown. Special mention to our guides today Jordy, Jake & Benjamin who were fantastic. They catered for all levels of ability, and kindly took our 14 yr old son as a passenger on one of the quads (Jake) and provided the least adventurous of our group with lots of laughs with his skilful driving in the quad buggy (Benjamin). Highly recommend. 5 stars!

A definite must do - This was a beautiful experience. My husband and I had a wonderful time. They are very clear and concise about safety and give you a great lesson before you go on how to navigate your ATV. We had Ben, Jake, and Jordy. Hilarious and extremely professional. We felt safe and in good hands under their care! I wish I could do this again!

Awesome experience - We had an absolutely awesome time!
It was raining and we were the only 2 who booked in and it was fantastic to have a ‘private’ tour of the place and get so many tracks in. Unfortunately due to the rain we dust get the amazing views you would see on a sunny day but it was still a great experience to see some country and have a heap of fun.

MUST DO! - Had the most INCREDIBLE morning with the Nomad Safaris team! The quad biking is so much fun and the tour guides are legends!! Nothing can prepare you for the views you see at the top… they are absolutely breathtaking 😍
