The Walter Peak Country... - The Walter Peak Country Farm and cruise experience was fantastic! The cruise on the beautiful lake was relaxing and enjoyed the great music especially the fun singing on the ride back. Dinner was very delicious with a lot of different food options. Also after dinner the farm demonstration was great. The overall experience was terrific and would recommend.

Do it - it was worth every penny! - Wow! Do it! We had a wonderful evening. Trip on the old steamer and seeing the coal being shovelled in to the magnificent engine - all visible. The BBQ buffet is fabulous. So many choices of freshly cooked meats, salads and hot veg and great vegetarian options too. Dessert options were fab too. Service was excellent. The weather for us was just right to view the stars on the way back.

A Do Not Miss for sure! - The steamship ride, sumptuous buffet, sheep-shearing and herding were five-star experiences all the way. Kim, the sheep herding dog, and his handler or "co-worker," were a special treat. The grounds are like a real life Hobbiton without the Hobbit houses. We got a huge kick out of the staff waving to us as the ship approached the island like a scene out of "The White Lotus."

Worth doing - We went on this experience provided by Real NZ with another couple. It started in Queenstown with a cruise to a beautiful sheep property at Walter Peak. The cruise up was lovely as late afternoon skies really show pieced the mountains. The property itself is beautiful. We were led from the boat up to the homestead and to our tables. This was a very well oiled machine and each table was directed to the buffet dinner at the appropriate time. Food was excellent and you could go back for more. There was, as expected, a bit of a don’t want to miss out mentality with some pushing in by certain nationalities. However, it wasn’t too bad. Dinner was followed by a wonderful sheep dog show which I think everyone really enjoyed. It was all orchestrated from start to finish but a very enjoyable night

Make sure to do dinner :) - Dinner and wine was amazing! Ship is historical and a pleasure to travel in. All in all I thought this wouldn’t be much of an adventure but I was wrong. I actually would recommend this event to do and what a beautiful home to see. Flowers abundant and the view at sunset offered great remarkable shots!

Cruise and dinner very worthwhile - The Earnslaw cruise and dinner was excellent. The buffet BBQ supplied offered a huge selection and was very tasty. The only thing we did find lacking was instructions, when we arrived at the farm, as to when and how the dinner was to be served. It was all very vague. We also thought there would be more said about the history of the property. But that said, we really did enjoy our evening.

Queenstown institution – but pick the day. Buffet dinner is the best! - We lucked onto an amazingly calm, warm & sunny evening. The day before was wild, windy and rainy with me thanking my lucky stars I didn't book a day earlier! Leaving at 5pm is perfect allowing passengers to enjoy the afternoon light to see Queenstown at its best. The buffet dinner was one of the best I've ever experienced - smoked salmon, NZ mussels, eye fillet, every roast meat / vege and salads you could imagine. You will not be disappointed! After dinner there was an optional farm tour but we chose to walk toward Camel Head Beach for quiet time

Don't miss this trip from Queenstown! - This is a great trip. We chose the last steam boat out so that we came back to the night lights of Queenstown. The food was absolutely amazing and the sheep shearing show was both informative and fun. Great for all ages.
