A wonderful experience. - This was a magic experience. The cruise was great, the meal superb but the icing on the cake literally was when 5 or 6 staff members brought out a plate with a birthday cake, strawberries and chocolate and the inscription " Nan and Cam = 100 years. My 80th and my granddaughters 20th birthdays. Thank you so much for such a memorable moment..

The green mussels, lamb... - The green mussels, lamb and beef were tender and the sticky date pudding amazing! My table was by the windows allowing a beautiful view of the sunset during dinner. A truly picturesque place.

Worthwhile - I had heard good things about the TSS Earnslaw lake cruise and it was a great way to enjoy the grandeur of Queenstown's mountains so we booked. We weren't disappointed. It was easy to find, fun to experience and had great photo opportunities. The meal at the Walter Peak Farm experience was delicious and so filling we didn't eat dinner. We also thoroughly enjoyed the farm experience show. Just a great afternoon all round!

Must do in Queenstown - Such a professionally run operation. Friendly crew on the ship and attentive staff at the farm. Fantastic buffet, fresh and lots of variety with gluten free options. The entertainment on the boat was wonderful too.

5 stars from us! - The best buffet you'll ever see, amazing backdrop and great service. It was cool to be able to see the workings of the Earnslaw on our journey to and from Walter Peak. Highly recommend the trip, absolutely worth the $$

A few extra tweaks - Pros : efficient boarding of the Earnslaw and got underway on schedule. Boat was fascinating to see the inner workings and history ( if that's your thing) Views .....it's New Zealand ... Unbelievable like always. Dinner had lots of options and was delicious. The only niggle I had , was that there were so many people booked in , tables were so close together that they might as well simply of joined them all together like a giant mess hall. Unfortunately we were ushered to the back room with not even a glimmer of the beautiful lake as a back drop like advertised which was the only thing I would change. Overall the positives outweighed the negatives and would recommend.

Equal parts great and not great - This cruise and dinner trip is something I have wanted to do for years and years. I was so excited to book it in for our wedding anniversary. It was $189 per person, which included the cruise they and back, dinner and a farm show. I was hopeful that the price would reflect the amazing night ahead. + the cruise over was great, and the cruise back spectacular. The views during daylight were awesome, and the lights at night were amazing. + The staff on arrival were welcoming + the beef, pork chicken & lamb were genuinely the best I have had. All were proudly labelled NZ... so you knew what it was and where it came from. + the desserts were also fabulous - we were called up in groups of tables and it was like a stampede. You literally could not move at some points without bumping into people carrying laden plates - the hot vege selection was uninspiring and as my husband said, we eat better at home. The pictures on the advertising of piles of interesting looking salads etc, simply didn't exist. - drinks were not included in the $189, and were requested upon seating, only to not be delivered. The young lady looking after our section was no where to be seen so we had to actively look around and flag down someone else, who helped, a long way into our celebratory dinner. - chairs and tables are cheap. Plastic chairs and wooden tables on metal pedestals you would find in cafes, not a'deluxe ' dinner. They were also stacked in so when the gentleman behind me stood and pushed his chair back, he always hit mine. - cleaning began before the dinner service ended, and with the BBQ grill being indoors, the space was soon filled with thick blue smoke that had people coughing and eyes watering. - The room emptied out for the farm show, which we decided to not see. We are kiwis and have seen farm shows lots before, we asked if we could stay there, and were told it was absolutely fine. We decided to have a coffee by the fire. Coffee was also surprisingly not included in the $189 per head price tag. We could not see our wait staff, again, so went to the bar to order coffees, only be told it had to be ordered at the table. So we waited. Eventually we waved at kitchen staff, who came to ask if we were OK, we again asked for a coffee, they said sure, and we felt seen & heard. 20 min later, no coffee. The restaurant was being swept and cleaned around us, chairs moved, things in the kitchen banged around. Again, another staffer asked if we were ok, we asked about the coffee, and this time we received it, too hot to drink in the time we had left. All in all, for nearly $400 for the two of us we expected something more special for our wedding anniversary dinner. In hindsight I wish we had done a cruise there and back for $99 each, and had dinner in a restaurant in town. Kiwi hospitality was really missed here, and other tables could be heard commenting on $100pp for dinner .
