Diego nature tours - Our guide, Wilberth was great! He made sure we had plenty of time to look at anything we wanted to see and never rushed us. I’m so glad we used a guide. We would have missed a lot of animals if it wasn’t for him!

Great owner/guide, informative tour! - Diego was knowledgeable and experienced. Knew the Latin names of the animals we saw, birds we heard, and the miraculous selective adaptations of direct plants and animals. He let each of us see the animals thru the scope before he positioned our camera phones for the pro shots. Make sure you arrange for the same hour (or hour before) to enter the park as the tour. I booked the tour then found out the park was sold out for the times entry. I booked the park entrance hour before the tour started and had not issue with entering “late.” Slight uphill grade for the first part, then downhill to the beaches. The walk back from the beaches to the exit was quite exposed (hot) compared the first half of the tour. Go early before it get oppressively hot and plan at least 3 hours so you don’t have to hoof it back to the entrance to rush to the next event. Stay longer at the beaches at the end. Truly beautiful beaches!

Take this tour! Diego is amazing! - Diego, our tour guide, was awesome!!! He was super knowledgeable, friendly, and showed us a ton of animals that we would have never been able to see ourselves. This tour was the highlight of our costa rica trip and it was all due to Diego. We learned a ton about Costa Rica, the animals, and many more things. We saw several sloths, monkeys, birds, iguanas, and more. He also has a device that lets u capture great iphone videos of the animals through the telescope. Thank you so much for the wonderful experience Diego!

You gotta do this experience - I did the Monkeys and Mangroves tour just a few minutes outside of Quepos. This was an amazing experience, much above expectations and a true highlight of my Costa Rica trip. I discovered this on Get Your Guide web site. Don't let the small number of reviews mislead you. These folks have been in the business for years. Our guides, Memo and Alan, had an impressive knowledge of both the plants and animals. Their ability to find wildlife along the river bank bordered on magical. They were respectful, friendly, and engaging throughout. Of course, the interactions with the white-faced monkeys is the highlight with their coming on the boat and onto you (not in a threatening manner). To top it off, Memo gave me a great recommendation for typical Costa Rican lunch a short distance down the road. In the words of Nike, just book it!

Great tour! - Great full tour recommended to better see the animals that are difficult to see on your own when camouflaged. Afterwards you can walk trails and go to the beach, which is exquisite!! Highly recommended.

Great morning to walk in nature - Royvin (Roy) did a great job. I’m always amazed how the guys can spot the wildlife when it blends in so well with the nature. There were a couple of great sightings of sloths, a number of birds, a land, crab, interesting insects, and a couple of howler monkeys at the end of the walk, the trail was crowded but we had a group of 11 and all had the ability to look through the scope. Roy will be sending us pictures via WhatsApp. The entire walk was 2.75 miles gradually uphill until we reached a concession stand for drinks, snacks, and bathrooms. There was also two excellent sightings of sloths there. Then a walk down to the beach, where we sat for a half an hour while some of our group went swimming. The walk back was on flat ground, very easy. If you have an opportunity, I highly recommend Diego nature tours.

Guide is Essential - Luis Roberto, our guide, did a wonderful job of entertaining and informing us. All the guides carry monocular telescopes and using these gives you a close up of the wildlife you see. The Park is crowded, but access is easy. The walk was about 3 miles in total.
