Luis Roberto, our guide,... - Luis Roberto, our guide, was wonderful! He made sure we saw a variety of animals, most importantly a sloth. He was very knowledgeable and personable. We really enjoyed our tour. I strongly recommend getting a guide to fully enjoy all that Manuel Antonio park has to offer.

Memorable and fantastic tour - We are a family of 4 and booked last minute on this tour, it was a total group of 8. Our guide Luis was very knowledgeable and showed us animals and insects we would have never seen; grasshoppers, monkeys of all types, sloths, birds and more. Luis made pictures of the creatures using our camera phones and was patient with our children one of whom sometimes needed height adjustment with the telescope. We recommend Luis as a guide !!

Very nice guided tour in a beautiful but crowded park. Great to spot a lot of animals. - Yanan was a very nice guy with a huge knowledge about the animals and the park. It‘s great to spot the animal through his spyglass. The rainforest ans the beach are amazing and you can spot a lot of animals for sure. But it‘s just very crowded.

Diego is excellent - Diego was our guide and he was excellent. Right off the bat he could see things we never would have seen on our own. He was able to explain things to my kids so they could understand as well. He was able to use my phone with his lens so I could get really good pictures on my phone. Diego comes from a long line of naturalists/guides in his family. We saw sloths with babies, monkeys with babies, and all kinds of smaller creatures. Got in a swim at the beach to cool off and it made for a full, fun day. 100% recommend this tour.

Manuel Antonio afternoon tour - We had Luis as our tour guide for our family tour and he was amazing. We had 2 adults and 3 smaller children on the tour and he was able to locate many animals for us in the heat of the day. Our kids also really enjoyed his tour and he was very patient, educational and fun with the children. I would highly recommend Luis to anyone visiting the park. He is local and has wonderful knowledge of the park and animals.

I was able to see a sloth. - I was happy to see the wild sloths that I had always wanted to see. Our guide, Luis Roberto, found many other rare birds and reptiles, showed them through the telescope, and took pictures for me. It was a very enjoyable time for me, who loves wild animals. I wish I could have stayed longer.

DO THE GUIDE TOUR - Amazed at what our guide could find and how knowledgeable he (and I imagine all of the official MA guides) was. Eagle eyes spotting creatures that really just can't be seen by folx who aren't regularly around it. But the additional knowledge around plants and their relationship to earth, animals, balance, circle of life, humanity, Costa Rica... came away feeling incredibly humbled and inspired. In in my lifetime, this country transformed from primarily plantations to eco-tourism, putting resources and support and education behind those efforts -- so much is possible and it's really evident here. Highlights included hearing a crew of howler monkeys do their thing. You don't know that feeling in your stomach and back when you hear that low growling group howl -- a mix of fear and marvel. And then seeing a pack of squirrel monkeys scurry away from them was icing on the cake. Did not see a coati but saw everything else. Exhausted myself in heat, hill climbs, and visits to both MA and Espadillas Sur beaches. Sunburn and aches to show for it - but so worth the time. Small note is that I'm glad this was one of the later experiences -- while the info and experience was amazing, the level of engagement was pleasant but not terribly special (not that it has to be). Don't get me wrong -- Christopher took great care of us. He can snap incredible photos off your phone through the telescope so have it at the ready. Playa MA is everything (including too crowded after it hits 9am). Espadillas Sur is also gorgeous, less crowded, but the level of sand is something one can find maybe closer to home if it was on the East Coast of the States. Like everyone says - the guide is worth it (including access to the closest parking).
